Mr OLM's comment on another thread.

I hope we can all agree that politics has no place on football forums or indeed home or away grounds involving the mighty tigers. Some of the antics on display in Poland and Ukraine are not to be copied and are best ignored. Difficult to have this discussion, but also difficult no too.

    Any thoughts?

The only trouble is that football doesn't exist in a vacuum and football related topics often overlap into other areas (including politics) as we regularly see on these boards.
I know there is a general chat forum available for this, but in the heat of a debate people habitually stick to the thread they're on.

My suggestion is we have a sticky thread for outlawed subjects and if a political / religeous debate starts on another thread the moderators instruct those involved to move it to the 'Quarantine Thread'.

That way the board won't be filled with emotive non-football threads and a football thread can't be hi-jacked by people wanting to talk about banned subjects.

Things are fine as they are, anyone wanting to discuss politics or religion can do it elsewhere.

A sensible post and something for the mods to give thought too.

This is an issue which directly affects our club and is bbecoming media topical due to events elsewhere.

Good in theory OLM but in reality it rarely happens that way.

How many religious believers does it take to change a lightbulb?

Two. One to pray to their God to change it for them and one to actually change it as their God doesn't exist.

How many politicians does it take to change a lightbulb?

Zero. Four hundred and fifty six to claim a lightbulb on expenses and one to flip flop and decide changing a lightbulb was the wrong policy in the first place.

How many atheists does it take to change a lightbulb?

    None. Light doesn't exist.

There are no political debates that involve sport at the moment. There are no religious debates involving sport at the moment.
The actions of the far right groups in other countries may be suitable for debate but not on a Hull City forum.
There are often threads that are not football or Hull City related but that is fine. What is not is ANY religious or Political debate. The fact is that once you start allowing these things on here the whole site will go to pot. Everyone with any axe to grind will use this forum to promote their views, a very dangerous path to take.
If you don't like the rules. Just **** off.

He was allowed to keep his name, but was asked to delete his signature, which he did.
