After Saturday's game against the Chavs, we have eight games left to play? Swansea, Norwich Blackburn, and Fulham at home. Sunderland Bolton, QPR, and Villa away. IF we can get maximum points from the home games, and, at least avoid losing, away. That should give us 16 points from those 8 games. If we really aspire to be in something called The Champions League, there's nothing in these games that we should feel is not winnable. Anyway, I'm hoping that 16 points will do it - simples!
Could be close, but we have the easiest run in, on paper. The Goon still have to play City and Chelsea. Chelsea have Arsenal and Liverpoool, both away as their most difficult remaining games. Plus, of course they are still in the CL. April is going to be crucial.
Its still in our hands, but the team needs to rediscover its mojo...quickly!, adversity has let us have it with both barrels so far this season, but thats got to be it now surely. Its a mental thing now, and I think last night should go some way with the last minute goal, when was our last one of those? United for example would be commended for not being at their best, but salvaging the situation by keeping going to the end, not giving up. The players don't feel like that, their body language at the final whistle was still like they'd lost. Harry needs his biggest motivational speech yet, this week.
A good half a season, the manager having a heart attack, and a player nearly dies in front of the team, couldn't really be descibed as a 'best season'.
Which you earned by winning the Mickey Mouser Cup, in a penalty shoot-out with the mighty Cardiff. Impressive stuff, from the King of Klanfield and his merry band of seaside donkeys. Not.
Well done! We`re all glad that favourable Refereeing has gifted the Klanfielders a trophy, enjoy your Thursday nights next season.
the mouser's are still deluded. i see they got voted bottlers of the night on the Arsenal board against qpr
Guys, just been looking at the remaining fixtures of us, Arsenal and chelsea in some detail. As we all know, our fixtures SHOULD be easier than le arse and the chavs. not only have they got to play one another, but arsenal have city at home and stoke away. Chelsea are away at arsenal as I've just said, as well as Fulham and liverpool. - some interesting fixtures to say the least. We've all played 30 games, therefore my maths tells me that we've all got 8 games to play? right, with that krypton factor arithmetic out of the way, could someone please have a look at these chelsea fixtures on the BBC and SS, and tell me why chelsea are only displaying 7 prem games? sorry if i'm being really stupid, but Ive been counting the games with my finger against the screen and i can't work out where chelsea's 8th game is? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/fixtures http://www1.skysports.com/football/teams/chelsea/fixtures it's not there, is it? does anyone know what that's all about?
They still have to play Newcastle at Stamford Bridge, Roo. It was supposed to be on the semi-final weekend, so they have to move it.
You say that Luke, but Sunderland away and a London derby against fulham won't be easy. Not will Swansea at home for that matter; they're a good footballing side.then there's the matter of the "relegation battle". Like you say, at this time of year teams are scrapping. Yes, on paper it looks easy, but the more I've been thinking about it today, the more I've realised theres potentially a lot of "draws" in these fixtures. We've really got to be on top of our game.
