Reet then I've been on a few sites the mag and the like and there seems to be a hell of a lot of fans having us certs for relagation. Now I know we are struggling for goals at the moment but ffs its early November!... Fans looking ahead at forthcoming fixtures and basically writing us off before we play. Yes there difficult but aren't they all it's the epl. We rip the mackems to shreds but the wide spread hysteria I read in cyber dyde land I find embarrassing. With rafa we have a great manager who will be working non stop to get us going again for me its time to be calm and be united... Howay the lads.
Sums the Mackems up perfectly this post. Their club could fold b..b....b... six in a row so all is well..
Boro have now beaten the mackems in their last four games. I betcha the mackems somehow forget about this
I think it will be tight if we get no investment, which seems likely because nobody wants to buy the club. We're average in most areas, and really really poor up-top, but there's some equally poor teams in the league. I think 40 points is our one and only aim, and I can see us making it just about. The future depends on Mike Ashley, and whether he bites the bullet, because there are no buyers out there. If we stay up, we're in the same position as Sunderland for the last however many years, and will struggle. Is it where we want our club to be? Of course not, but the players bust a gut every week, Rafa tries new things, which is about as much as we can expect.
Would never have us as certs for relegation, pretty sure we can pull this off. Drag this team to a decent position come January and we're laughing. Don't want to be unrealistic though, we are in a relegation battle until we get the necessary points. We start believing/expecting higher than that then the pressure from the fans becomes palpable
If we're going down the 6 in a row route....28 years without beating us on Wearside. That will never be equalled, nevermind beaten.
Bit odd to say nobody wants to buy the club given the reports over the last few weeks. You could speculate that those who want to buy the club might not meet Ashley's valuation and that would possibly mean little investment in January. I think the worst possible scenario investment-wise is the club is sold but it doesn't go through until after the transfer window closes because I can't see Ashley spending anything in those circumstances.
I don't think it'll go through after January if we have the standard Mike Ashley window unless we're mathematically safe. Would be suicide to buy a team that, in theory, could be relegated before you've even had a window to make some effect.
Well if that is how the interested parties are thinking they would probably just wait until the end of the season to see if we have survived.
I have seen absolutely nothing which indicates there is serious interest in the club, or that any interest is being followed up with a bid?
