I find it astonishing that anyone would offer more than a nominal amount for him. So many half-decent players are available on frees these days.
Just think about the way a table moves and the up's n downs of every football team. Their is always wins that come from nowhere, and upsets and drawn games that you seemingly did not deserve. I am positive we will jag plenty of points to stay safe, but yes this game is intruiging given the solid win they had. It could be one of those one off's anyway. CAFC get up 3-2
I felt more positive when we had Parky in charge and was bottom of the League, and about this time, getting our first win in ages against Palace, with a Matt Spring goal... Or when Powell was in charge and we were in the Relegation zone, then RD sacked him. Or when Pardrew took over and thought we'd bounce back. For some reason, I've just lost faith.
You guys seem really depressed and things arn't going well. But there seriously are lots of clubs in a far worse position than you... Blackpool, Wall, Rotherham, Wigan all will struggle to get past 42 points. We will struggle to get 46 and if we got 50 I would be staggered. Have faith get behind your team they need you! You are nearly already safe.
I agree there is little chance we will be relegated. It is the lack of hope for the future which depresses us. The only things RD has done right for our longer-term future are refurbishing the pitch and ground, and signing Vetokele. But they were at the beginning of his reign when he claimed to have a long-term plan. Once the clubs voted to extend the spending limits under FFP it demolished his plan and he seems to have lost heart since. Now he is just running the club as cheaply as possible and making short-term economies. It may also be that the sluggish economy in the EU and fall in value of the euro has cut into the amount of "playdough" he has set aside to indulge in his hobby of owning football clubs.
I show our owner as my avatar. I assume you are showing Leeds' owner as yours? Ours is allegedly a billionaire but yours looks well-endowed also.
Can we nail the myth that our players are good enough? They are not - they are ****. Even the honest tryers like Cousins and JJ are miles off the pace. Solly proved last night he can't play 2 games in 4 days. Wiggins resembles Douglas Bader after the crash. The rest of them - what can you say. I have rarely seen 2 more spineless, useless excuses for footballers than Buyens and Bulot.
I feel sick after i read most threads now.... is it good or bad that i am in OZ and cannot attend matches ??
Last night was the worst possible scenario. It would have so much better to have really been tonked. Coming back from 0-2 will probably make Douche think the players have something about them and it's all down to rub of the green. We all know that's not true but now he has another excuse not to splash out on some professionals.
Sums up the game perfectly. Buyens & Bulot are clearly getting picked on the instructions of Duchatelet. The Serb is a ten-a-penny journeyman keeper, not brought here on merit.
You have the Chippy vote of confidence he has tipped us to go down for the last 3 years but Its only wishful thinking because its either you or them or both thats going to drop. It will NOT be the wall Personally i would be happy if you both dropped but would settle for any one of 2
