Not going into any great detail, Its been done before I am merely curious to know what proportions of us prefer which form of grand prix racing.

edit: woops this was supposed to be a poll, I posted before adding the poll

Do you prefer refueling, non-refueling or like them equally?

Non-refuelling. The shorter stops just for tires make the racing more exciting IMO.

Good question as we've all had time to digest non-refuelling. I would definitely say re-fuelling. It mixes things up more. The problem at the moment is all the teams seem to pit at more or less the same time.

Re-fuelling, as the best strategist teams can shine here, where they are hampered otherwise.
We can see some underdogs win.

Refueling, but Quali with 1st stint fuel load like 2009! It mixes the gird up and the pole man could short filled, whereas another driver could be 5th/6th with 10 more laps?

Whilst I think refuelling was better, non-refuelling isn't as bad as what I thought it'd be.

I'd definitely agree with this. Initially, I was sceptical as the old Bridgestones of 2010 were not conducive to providing a variety of strategies as you could do a whole race on them. However, Pirelli has definitely helped the new non refuelling era in providing good racing. I also hated the way the cars looked in 2010 and although 2011 was slightly better, I still prefer the look of the old cars. I'm hoping that with the smaller engines, and thus smaller fuel tanks, the 2014 cars will be closer to what we used to have. Also, the starts aren't quite as electric when the cars are carrying full tanks. When I watched the lights go out in Bahrain in 2010 I'd briefly thought they'd all stalled! Hopefully this too will be rectified with the smaller fuel tanks.

To be honest, if we went back to refuelling it wouldn't bother me, but this new era is pretty good.

To be honest I hated the look of the 07/08 cars, this design has an almost "natural" look to them now with all the curves and tight backsides.

Refuelling would be my preference. As stated above, my reason would purely be as it allows further flexibility in race strategy.

i personally was a fan of refuelling for a number of reasons:
    • It makes qualifying more interesting as you have cars with low fuel up front and you can have the top teams further down because of heavy fuel loads.
    • This means that as cars pit and put different fuel loads in you have faster cars coming through past slower cars - more overtaking = more excitement (natural overtaking too)
    • Makes the strategy a bigger deal in the races as teams ahve to think about what fuel loads to put in etc.
    • Better pit stop racing as some teams put in differing fuel loads so you can have pits top overtaking, this rarely happens now!
    • More interesting for the commentators and fans as we have to think about who has what fuel loads - more interesting races.

Basically there are many good reasons for refuelling in my opinion - the only downside being the danger of fuel however I do not recall anyone being killed - flying tyres are much more dangerous!

I agree that it makes strategy a more interesting factor, but i disagree with everything else. For starters (and i cant back this up) but Refueling does not improve overtaking at all. Statistics i can remember seeing showed a drop when it was introduced then it picked up in 2010. This is because of pit stop overtaking, which is a bad thing due to limiting on track overtaking.

As for qualy yes there are more intersting orders, but it feels fake. And i hated finishing the qualy hour and then having no idea for about 3 hours who had done a good job, before the FIA revealed fuel loads.

There are plus points to refuelling, but in my opinion we are better off without it.

    Very well put Julius.
I have taken the liberty of highlighting your last sentence, since I think it sums things up rather neatly.

I myself personally prefer refueling, not to say I can't see the benifits of non refueling and I do like some aspects of it but overall refueling for me

I prefer todays cars. The 07/08 cars look messy. The wing sizes are better though.

Yes, the wings were definitely better proportioned but the cars are so much smoother now, not covered in all those aerodynamic trinkets.
