astute as I am I'm a bit perturbed by tonight's decisions (and last weeks)..can you help me learn how to dive? Good on Ruddy with the smasihng saves today but ffs, will the refs in this division go to school? Bloody atrocious
it's such a lovely something or other I need to take a pill? SGT peppers lonely hearts club band blah blah blah blah blah de de de de de YAWN
Norwich fan I saw the game on line mate... NO Penalty, a complete joke of a decision, but he did bring Walters down. He's no diver is that what you are suggesting? Justice that Walters missed the penalty but Sgt is quite corrcect.. some ref's are complete tosser's.. i.e. Sunderland's hand ball, not given. Numorous other decisions Stoke have had, for and against us the last three seasons.. we KNOW how it feels I don't think Sgt was trying to be funny with his comments. Good luck for the season
The thing that has annoyed me more than anything is yet again the lack of consistency. De Laet's foul last week and Barnett's this week were identical. Last week De Laet wasn't even booked, this week, Barnett gets sent off. Of course Mr Swarbrick was just bloody useless today, missed a blatant handball by Naughton in the first half despite being a few yards away and in the second half stands and watches as Surman receives an elbow to the back of the head just a yard away from him and fails to award a free kick. Hell, he even botched an uncontested drop ball in the second half. All he had to do was drop it on the floor and he dropped it on his own foot.
Dazz I entirely agree with what you say... most of the refs are total garbage.. they miss so many obvious things although I didn't see the hand ball your talking about? Swings and roundabouts mate but, it really does do your head in.. like Sgt said you kind of get used to it. No doubt MOTD tonight will spend half an hour talking about another belly up decision by a ref nothing new there is there...
You'd have to have bloody good eyesight to see the handball if you were sitting with the Stoke fans as it was right in the corner. It was half way through the first half. Naughton had Jones at his back, so he might've blocked the refs view, but the ball was bouncing, Naughton stuck his arm out and controlled it. Should've been a pen to you, but unsurprisingly the ref missed it
Watched it online... I don't think even the commentators mentioned it So, no wonder I didn't see it. Thanks for being honest enough to mention another almighty cock up by a ref.
But Walters didn't score from the resulting penalty.. that was never a penalty so, is that being argumentative Where's me coat!
Like the Stoke guys are saying , the refs ( and linesmans) bad decisions are a norm (and nothing is ever done about it) I dare say if we play the so called ''bigger teams'' in this division, much more will go against us. I still think we can be pleased with our game this early on in the season. We will only improve. 2 points less we need for survival and on this peformance i think all will see we will get many more.!!!
You're ****ing lucky! All 3 officials at our game yesterday should never be allowed back onto a football pitch! A penalty for a foul 2 yards outside the box. 3 Of the goals were clearly offside and the Martin sending off was an absolute bloody joke. He clearly got the ball when the player was off the pitch. The linesman who was a yard away didn't even wag his flag until the ref who was 30 yards away came steaming across with the red card out! Anyhoo we deserved to lose anyway but 3-1 should have been the correct scoreline if the laws had been applied properly. Onwards and downwards!
