The trouble with Redmond is he is a one trick pony. He is predictable in both his runs, where he picks up the ball. He relies far too much on speed rather than ability. Personally I think he looks a lot better than he actually is, quite often the case with wingers, loads of space, one person in front of them and easy to create a chance (comparitively). He still needs to improve alot, particularly as he gets older.
His learning, his still the best winger we have in the team he just needs to cut down on the shooting and pass the ball more often, his improving though I think once he scores a goal he'll calm down a bit.
He made 2 assists in the last 2 games and Grabban made 2 assists against Cardiff very scrappy assists granted but winners all the same.. The 2 crosses from Redmond were sublime.
IMO, he is improving this season. Some of his crossing has been fantastic, especially from the RIGHT!!!!! I have often been told - 'to have more successes, you have to have more failures!!'
Even last season, he was more effective on the right, but with Snodgrass in the side, he was never going to be on that side of the pitch too often. I would like to see NA give him a run of 5-10 games on the right to assess exactly what he is and may be capable of.
Errrm - the drest of the team must have been pretty dreadful on Saturday then, as he got MoM from the Archant (Paddy), but then, what do they know about football?????
