Harry Redknapp has left Tottenham after almost four years in charge.

Redknapp, who was heavily linked with the England job before the Football Association opted for Roy Hodgson , denied speculation that he had resigned on Tuesday.

The 65-year-old had a year left on his contract but reportedly failed to agree a new deal with chairman Daniel Levy.

The former West Ham, Portsmouth and Southampton manager has now left the London club.

Redknapp left Portsmouth for Tottenham, who were four points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League, in October 2008.

He guided Spurs to a first-ever Champions League campaign in 2010.

After finishing fourth last season, Tottenham only missed out on a repeat of that when Chelsea won the Champions League.

Redknapp was immediately installed as the favourite to replace Fabio Capello when the Italian resigned from the England job in February, only for the FA to move for Hodgson.

He admitted last week that he would have left Tottenham if he had been offered the national job.

Levy is understood to have been left disappointed by Spurs' end-of-season slump, which saw them squander a 10-point advantage over Arsenal, who eventually finished third.

Redknapp consistently rejected suggestions that Tottenham were affected by the speculation linking him with England.

Last week he urged Spurs to resolve his future, insisting that the uncertainty could cause problems in the Tottenham dressing room but now he has left the club.

LOL!! Administration can't be far away judging by Harry's previous clubs!!
Your thoughts? Who do you reckon will replace him?

It will be Moyes. That would make Spurs more of a threat though, providing they can hang on to their top players (and now they have a competent manager, it may be easier than originally thought)

Oh my God, this is hilarious, it's all falling apart at Spurs, hahahahah. Where are all the big mouth Spurs fans now? Redknapp was the best thing to have happened to Spurs in recent memory, and they just f--ked it all up.

Spurs finished 4th, for the 2nd time under Redknapp, that is a major achievement for them, yes, they had a disastrous end to the season, but they still got 4th and were really unlucky to miss it on Europe due to Chelsea winning the competition. and not to mention the man did win a cup for them, as well as taking them to the semi finals of the FA Cup. Fact is, under Redknapp, Spurs were doing quite good by their **** standards of the past decade. And now they have blown it.

Not only was Redknapp good for Spurs, he was also a pain in the a$$ for us, yes we beat them 5-2, but Redknapp knew how to play against Arsenal, and always made it tough on us, and did something other Spurs managers haven't been able to do as of late, to beat us, and to consistently beat us as well (3-2, 2-1, 2-1). He made the derby competitive, though the derby was always a great spectacle to watch, we always managed to beat Spurs, or pull the amazing comebacks against them, that all changed with him, he made them competitive against us in the heads to heads, and I don't think their new manager, if it will be Moyes, will manage to replicate that.

Fact is, they f--ked up bad, real bad!

This is Martin Jol - Juande Ramos all over again.

He couldn't take you to the next level because you've hit your ceiling.
