I think the good news for Tottenham fans is that he'll never get the England job - remember the embarrassment when they had to deal with Venables dodgy deals they decided there and then they'd never employ another manager of the National team who could drag the FAs name through the gutter. If he gets a prison sentence it'll be a nominal one, maybe even suspended, he'll get a mammouth fine but he's not short of money so no issue there. England won't go near him now so I'd say it's a fairly good day for Tottenham....
The FA seem to change their ideology every 3 or 4 years though. Remember when Sven left and they said England needed an English manager, we had Mclaren for 2 years and then they appointed Capello, a foreigner, now they want an Englishman again. It's ridiculous, every time a foreigner fails they decide it's because he is foreign, and then they forget about it when their englishman fails.
Actually giving a Director of Football a bonus of a share in the profit on transfer deals sounds a perfectly reasonable way of incentivising him. Reducing that when he becomes manager is also sensible and that is likely to lead to a one-off payment to cover the lost bonus on near-term transfers. The only dodgy bit is the Monaco account and this is only dodgy if it is being used to hide income - loads of wealthy people keep a stash off-shore without breaking any laws. I imagine the defence will be that this was a gift made to him which was unrelated to work.
I'd like to know more about the jury process, asking them if they have football allegiance seems lame..."no of course not your honour!" I'd also like to know why the first jury was subsequently rejected, someone must have lied when first asked perhaps.
So would I, If they were banning people from the jury who are Spurs fans they should also ban people who are not Spurs fans to make it fair. That would leave no one to serve on the jury so the only really fair way of selecting a jury is to have 6 Spurs fans and Six non Spurs fans, anything else surely must be a miss trial.

I wouldn't say he is innocent, or guilty, I would abstain. I prefer not to talk about things of which I know nothing about... To suggest that you would deem him guilty without hearing any of the evidence first hand, and without hearing any of his defence just exposes how much of a biased wum you really are.
If Harry is convicted, he won't become England manager, I'm certain of that. If convicted, but doesn't get a prison sentence, I think he'll keep his job with us. If, for example, he gets a month, (effectively two/three weeks), that will be an interesting one.
If he's found guilty, he will get a prison sentence. I can't see how a judge would not send him down. The two things that us mere mortals must never do are as follows:- (1) riot; or (2) dodge paying taxes If found guilty of either, you will go to prison. The reason is because they each threaten the Establishment. We can rob one another, and beat one another up, but so long as we don't direct any of it at the State, we're okay. And the trouble for Harry, if he is found guilty, will be that, not only will he be deemed to have dodged his taxes, but he'll also have lied about it. Not good. He'll get at least 12 months, which means he'll be out in under 6. I suspect that Levy will be tempted to keep his job open for him, with Jordan and Bond looking after the team in the meantime. It will be an absolute disaster for us. Unless the rumours of The Special One leaving Madrid are actually true, and he's being lined up as Harry's permanent replacement

I suppose it all depends on the view the board takes. If the judgement is damning, the club may be forced by public perception to cut its ties with Harry. This whole affair is not only tied up with tax evasion, but also with the payment of bungs. If any of it is true, it's pretty sordid.
Miggins is a classic example of the decision making process used by many of the adult population, an adult population that can vote, drive a car, and any number of things that cause problems for the whole population. Unable to understand the difference between fact and speculation. Unable to recognize bias and take it into account. Ready to form an opinion on matters with very little information. Unable to use the English language to express an idea clearly. Unable to understand the misunderstanding that results from his own lack of clarity. Always ready to make sure that facts do not get in the way of personal prejudice. The country is full of these mindless morons.
Surely if guilty, whatever the sentence, the FA would have to ban him. That's what happened to George Graham, got a year's ban from managing if I remember rightly?
