We have to be very ruthless this summer and get rid of, possibly the majority , a lot of our senior players. We have possibly the best bunch of junior players we have ever had. Failure to progress them significantly will lead to the clubs ability to recruit youngsters for our future development which will lead our academy to suffer. Our main problem is that the majority of our underachievers are in the defense. Which players should we build our future team around?
It doesn't matter who we bring in, unless wevwin every single game from day one, most on here will be calling for heads to roll!

I'm not sure if any of the keepers we've used in the under 23 games are ready to step up, but I like Killip. RB – Pinto. Let's hope he's in place NO later than the Fulham game, so he can judge for himself how porous our defence is.

I remember watching games home and away under Lambert and even if we lost, more often than not we lost in the right way. Players fought until the last minute and left everything out on the pitch. We had a culture of bringing in young, hungry players who wanted to prove themselves and we also had a few handy loan players that are now littered amongst top Premier League clubs. I look across our squad now and we’re left with the dregs of the Chris Hughton and Alex Neil eras. The club is saturated with ageing players, likely to be on over-inflated wages and no desire to move until their contract runs out because there’s probably no other clubs that will match their current deal. So how do we inspire change? A new manager is a start but it’s all about process. How we bring through youth players, utilise the loan system, what type of players we bring into the club and what deals we give them. Our performance in the transfer market has been as shrewd as Rodney Trotter in the past couple of years and this season we’ve paid for it. He's right, but although AN has gone the other coaches remain and without a change of leadership and direction nothing will change. AN didn't need to go because he was a bad person he needed to go because of the ethos he'd installed in the running of the club. AN going should be the start of changes at the club not the end.
