Fair play to her for doing it now. News International is pretty much exhasusted by this and now that she's stepped down hopefully the other papers will be in the spotlight - I genuinely don't believe that it was only Murdoch's mob who've been up to no good and hopefully focus wiill switch very soon.

I'd be surprised if she had any choice in the matter, and she should have resigned immediately anyway. I agree that the other papers are up to their necks in this too and it's only a matter of time before some of them come under the spotlight.

Good riddance I say but it should have happened as soon as the allegations came to light. I does nothing to make the situation any better for the victims though

Fine journo my arse. She either knew what was going on at the NOTW and ignored it or she didn't know, either of which is unacceptable from a Chief Executive

When you become the chief executive of a multi national compnay let us know how you get on with controlling every tiny little detail of the day to day running of the business. You can't possibly keep on top of everything. And let's be honest - if you are going to go round hacking the phones of dead people and their families you're not likely to bring it up at the Monday morning round up meeting are you?

I'm not saying she hasnlt screwed up royally but things may not be as black and white as some people seem to think.

Is anyone else sick to ****ing death about the hacking story?

Every time I turn on either BBC or Sky news it's all they talk about. I couldn't really give a **** about it.

I think Neil Lennon's silence on this issue says it all really.

If you were the editor of the paper you wouldn't ask your journalists where they got the information from and how reliable it is?

Me. The FBI are even investigating the allegation that they hacked the phones of 9/11 victims. Just lock them all in prision and be done with it.

The whole hacking thing is a storm in a tea-cup, now we as a nation run the risk of letting a fine establishment like News International, upping stick and leaving us with the Guardian!!

It's not too late to put pressure on your MP and ask them to call a motion at the Houses of Parliment asking for the reinstatement of News Corps bid for BSkyB.

TBH, I wouldn't blame Rupert if he just stuck up 2 fingers at the British and left us to rot.

The fact that he's stuck around this long, we should be grateful.
