The team that performed so brilliantly on Monday night had 9 English and 2 Irish out of 14 who played. That is the most "home-grown" players we have had for a long time, and no doubt the reason they performed so well! They understood each other!
Having made the long journey last week, I won't be able to get to Wembley, but the memories of Monday night will live for ever.

Israel, I am so sorry to hear that, I was hoping to meet you in Kingsbury on Saturday week...we could have had a quick look at Honeypot Lane for VERY old times sake (I am not confused about that am I?)

We fielded a completely home nations team earlier this season. Of that I am sure. But perhaps there was more than the one game I mentioned.

    Hi Beth,

No-you are not confused. I was indeed born in Honeypot Lane, in a maternity hospital which is now a mental hospital!

I am hopeful that we can meet up at the home game at the end of next season when we clinch the Premier League.

    You R'ssss
