Adam Pearson was on Radio Humberside at 6.00pm yesterday. He stated that he believes that the team needs another couple of transfer windows to get the players in what they need to make the complete team. This to me suggests that the club are quietly satisfied with a mid table to lower top half finish this season and that any promotion push will come in the next year or so.

Even though it would be nice to go up i realistically think that we would end up depending on old journeymen again on inflated wages or a basically young and inexperienced team getting walloped most weeks and therefore destroying confidence.

Lets be patient and watch the squad progress and gel together.NP will get it right and this time we will be ready to hold our own in the PL with a close knit team who have grown together.

These are exciting times over the next year or so and we have to be sensible on/off the field.Lets flirt with the play offs to wet the appetite though for next season.

Dont forget only a few weeks ago we looked like relegation candidates and that really was depressing.

Hope you dont think this is negative but we almost paid the ultimate price of administration last time we reached the promise land.

Got to say I do agree with you here Tiger64. As much as we have improved, I too tink we are just missing 2/3 more players and can't see anything more than a mid table finish this term. Having said that, who says we won't turn all these draws into wins and have a reall strong finish during April/May. I would be happy to see the team steadily progress without the fear of a relegation dogfight, and I think we will be pushing strongly next season. We are still on a very good run with only one defeat in 13 and have just had very good games against two of the divisions top teams. Going to Scunny on Saturday and then we have Preston at the KC, two very winnable games which may just keep us in touch with the playoff pack!

O was saying to my mate it might be better to just miss the play offs this season and keep the momentum going onto next season and go for a proper promotion push as a much stronger side which could then help us be better side on the premiership.

I say that we should aim to get promoted just as the Murdoch fueled sham of a Premiership implodes up its own arse in around two years. then we can enjoy the premiership experience without any tiger suits and facepaint
