Sounds like we're well on top but need to kill the game off before Reading come into it second half.

This is the end of the road for Town this season, the roll of the dice at a crucial time has unsurprisingly blown up in our faces.

Three crucial games, two points, five points adrift of 23rd, it's game over.

Two points out of the last nine, all against struggling teams, does not bode well for this season. Lambert has come in and early signs do look positive, but two draws against struggling opposition and tough games to come is not reassuring me in the slightest. I honestly believe we are condemned for relegation this season. Not a criticism on Lambert, who has a tough challenge on his hands, but more a criticism of our clueless owner (whose asset-stripping approach to running our club is now catching up with him) and the poor transfer policy and failed gamble by appointing Paul Hurst.

This club has been built to survive and scrap season-by-season, which is not sustainable and clearly has not worked this season. I just cannot see a way that we gain enough points to avoid relegation. We do not look like a good club.

We deserved more from that game.
Missed the first 35 minutes trying to find a stream, was listening though.
It's clear that the players are being coached in two touch football. The lads started to tire in the second half and we stopped pressing so aggressively as the legs went and Reading got on top because of it.
The result doesn't help us out that much but I reckon we'll be alright this season and stay up. I'm not going to throw in the towel yet, keep playing like that and we'll get results.

Yet another two points thrown,we are going to rue these sooner rather than later I fear.

Hurst had a tough challenge too, and I felt we were making progress before the international break and rumour mill.

People can talk about the transfers, Butcher seems to think it was the training methods - it's only one thing and that's the lack of stability, a plan and funds. With tougher fixtures ahead what do we do if we get to December without a win? Sack Lambert too?

God you talk some ****, it was a decision that had to be made, both the sacking of Mick and PH. Lambert may not save us but with him in charge I feel we will be in good hands. Let's see if ME tries to buy us safety, until then....shut the feck up!

If it had to be made it didn't have to be made at that crucial time. Whether you think I'm talking **** or not we had three games against bottom sides, everyone else has picked up points and we're now adrift, it's there in black and white.

We don't look a good side because we are not, we cannot defend a 1 goal lead but when could we and we are not consistent, Lambert has to get us playing 90 minutes of good football instead of 45 minutes then fading and losing points.
I'm right behind the new manager to sort this out and keep playing attacking football unlike the clueless dross we watched with Hurst in charge, yes I'm disappointed we didn't win but encouraged nonetheless.

Do you know what, I'm not scared of the upcoming fixtures now. Paul has been with us a couple of weeks and there has been marked improvement in each of the games he's managed.

I'll put it on record now and say that we'll finish 20th

It's all very nice to be encouraged, maybe the work we do now will help us next season - but anyone who thinks we can survive now seriously needs a reality check.
