Again, our club appointed safety officer wanted a net to help the safety of fans. There is a reason the front 5 rows are empty in the away end now.

Our head of safety should police the away fans better, as is happening and it's his job ...

... nets are idiotic and don't work imo.

Great politician's answer - failing to answer the question whilst appearing to retain some sort of superiority.

Club has implemented safety procedures (as previously mentioned by you) so how many incidents have there been since?

If a safety officer had any say in matters he should say accommodating fans in the upper tier above home fans is idiotic and asking for trouble.

Since our improved safety measures there was the smoke bomb hit a wheelchair user that was in the press.
And there have reports from north standers that stuff is still coming down occasionally

How many years has this been the case at Newcastle ...

... how big is the problem?

Bear in mind the away section there is more heavily populated.

Aye but they've got thicker sculls to withstand any impact!

Fair point though, so was does it appear to be a problem for us?

That all sounds a bit vague. Again. not really answering the question as it doesn't suit your agenda

What agenda? It's been well documented in supoorter liason meetings that there have been problems with fans throwing objects onto the fans below.

Its also documented in the same meetings that the safety officer wanted a net putting up and also acknowledged that the SAG group reduced the away allocation allowed by stopping the front 5 rows being sold.

    But yes, it's my agenda

IMO nothing the club could've done, for this specific FA Cup tie, would've been good enough for some people ...

... putting up nets on the off chance of drawing a club, in the FA Cup, who might risk ejection for throwing a 50p coin.

Yeah OK, best to stay at home and hope there isn't a serial killer roaming the streets or a gas leak at the neighbours <doh>

Avec gear is a seperate contract and the stuff flies out. You have 48 hours to grab or you ain’t getting it.

They are quick to restock, they did this morning, and was gone again by 2pm.

There’s a hell of a demand for club gear when they fix this deal.

There's the Hummel craic but we have to be careful of nostalgia. Looked class but awful quality and it’s way behind the major players even now.

Hopefully they get this right (FULL Nike contract or Castore who try and be unique per club)

The club have got things wrong of course but I’m still struggling to understand how people can be this angry about this leadership group

That's what I'm hoping, a proper kit deal and a real push on decent merchandise.

The more we make through off the pitch activities the better on the pitch can be, especially with the new ffp rules coming in that cap wages at 70% of turnover. The more we make, the more we can pay

It's febrile mate, I've rarely been that angry at the Mags tbh ...

... wars, famine, floods, etc, and people become hysterical because they can't buy a shirt in their size.

Our income is inevitably irrelevant, we'll never compete with UAE countries.

    I'd rather go blind ...

What definitely needs to stop is them ironing a badge onto a £45 basic Nike hoody and charging £75 for it.

They us the most basic Nike ‘club’ hoodies and charge the price of a premium. That’s not on and is genuinely ‘ripping off’

... no-one has to buy this shyte, they're brainwashed imo.

People are just scared to tell their kids they're not going along with this crap.

Aye, fair comment. It is a joke though, they are charging £30 for an iron on badge.
