Well it means it's smaller when flipped and gives a larger screen when opened. It also has a wee screen on the outside so you don't need to open it to see who's calling you etc etc etc.

I'm very much tempted but I'm wary about the degradation of the screen at the join which was a bug bear for the first generation flippers.
