God knows, not been to a pub in about 3 months.

Considering how small the bar is I would be amazed if it has managed to keep going with restricted numbers. In normal times the place was mobbed with 30 people in it!

However, if it has survived or does survive, when things are back to some sort of "normality" if you're up this way give us a shout and we can can pop in for a few cheeky pints.

Haha - loved having a few pints in there when back up in Scotland. It was a proper pub. No women's toilets and a hard-faced barman.

Hope it's survived and not been turned into some hipster pub like most of Union Street.

Aye on Bridge Street - just down the stairs off Union Street.

 

Yeah, The Bridge and The Grill are my type of pubs, down to earth, nothing fancy or trendy. Always did prefer that type of pub, even in my teens, always hated the trendy, false, pretentious chrome laden places.

Union Street is a ****ing ****hole, has been for last 10 years and is getting worse with rent charges and the virus, they should just bomb it and start again. Shame, it used to be a lovely main street years ago.

One-Up was a great record shop.

There also used to one on Union Street called "The Other Record Shop" which was an absolute treasure trove for vinyl, t shirts, music fanzines, and all sorts of music related stuff.
