David Templetonâs anticipated comeback has been put on hold because of a hamstring injury. Sebastien Faure is facing five weeks out after he has surgery today on a hernia problem. And Anestis Argyriou has ankle ligament damage which will undoubtedly keep him out for a number of weeks too. McCoist still has Fran Sandaza and Kane Hemmings recovering from long term problems. However, the good news is Lee Wallace should be back to face Peterhead on Saturday. McCoist told the official web site: âWe seem to have a bit of a jinx on the boys that have signed for us. They have not had much luck in terms of injuries. âSandaza is out long-term, Templeton has been out for three months, Seb Faure has had an operation today and Argyriou looks as though he will be out for a couple of weeks. âThe good thing is Lee Wallace is coming along nicely and we are hopeful that Emilson Cribari, who came off in the Alloa game, will be available for the weekend too. âTempleton wonât play this weekend. The ankle is fine but he is struggling with a hamstring injury. âDuring his rehab he tweaked a hamstring so thatâs put a dampener on things. âI donât think Argyriou is as bad as was initially feared. You always worry when a player goes down when there is no-one near him as happened to him in the Alloa game. âHe has certainly damaged ankle ligaments and we will monitor this week and that will give us an indication of how long it will be but hopefully not as long as we first feared. âSebastien is having an operation today and he will be five weeks after that. So it never rains but it pours but we will get on with it.â
Yeah no biggy about the 2 defenders, I think they're ****e. But it is a hard one to take with Templeton. Probably one of the most naturally gifted midfielders in Scotland and he's barely kicked a ball for us. Desperately need him back.
The defenders are no loss at all. I would rather we started playing Little at right back and get one of the youngsters out on the right in midfield. It's a shame about Templeton and I hope George is wrong as he is a bit injury prone. I would like to see Sandaza get fit and get a bit of a run as I think eventually he will become a big player for us as we progress up the leagues. Hemmings too as he looked a fairly decent prospect. I saw him a play a couple of times in the reserves and I thought he looked pretty sharp.
He did a decent job at Dundee Utd and St Johnstone. I agree he has been pretty dire for us so far, but I think he will get it together in the end. Maybe I'm the eternal optimist.
