There's some utterly horrendous posts in here.

I'm gay, I also like football. If you think for one second I made a choice to be gay, and therefore suffer taunts, abuse and narrow-mindedness, you must be genuinely mental. It is NOT an easy ride, and makes life incredibly stressful for many years. Comparing gay people to sexual offenders is also downright disgusting.

I don't care if you think you are having 'banter', it isn't funny. Tongue in cheek comments are harmless, after all, where would we be if we couldn't rip it out of ourselves, but blatant trolling is just pathetic and damaging. Conversion therapy may have high 'success' rates, but I am also willing to wager it has high depression and suicide rates too.

In the interest of staying on topic, nobody should be pressured into wearing rainbow laces, but as someone who has felt marginalised by FIFA and UEFA in the past, it is nice to see something I can look at and be proud.

If an epic natural disaster occurred and you and your partner were the only male humans left alive would you do your bit in the continuation of the human race?

I agree that some of the posts on here are pretty horrendous. Unfortunately it's becoming increasingly difficult to have sensible debates due to certain individuals who ruin these threads. I visit the forum often as like to keep up with things and there are plenty of posters on here who are 'in the know' although it gets difficult to follow some threads due to reasons already stated. I rarely post however unless it's something I feel strongly about, and the posting of idiotic statistics comparing the prevelance of homosexuality in relation to child molestors is downright offensive. And Drew, you're bang on about depression and suicide rates in respect of this 'conversion therapy'. I know this as fact due to my line of work.

OLM - never mind lecturing us on how we can't post about religion; a better use of your Mod status would be to ban this obnoxious ****.

This thread's just about as bad as any that used to appear on CI, thanks to tiny-minded ****ers like Twat Hat.

(Check his IP address, and see if it's the same as Stuey/EGD Wright).

I wouldn't wear the laces because I have severe OCD and I don't like mixing things. I always used the same laces for every pair of boots I owned, and I'd only take them off to wash them.

It's none of my business what two people do in the privacy of their own homes, but I'd just rather not hear about it.

I guess you could say I'm neither against nor in favour of the LGBT movement, as I really don't care. My views on homosexuality is neutral apathy.

    Live and let live.

I agree, except the only reason I wouldn't wear the laces is because I just really couldn't give a ****. And they look a bit gay.

And if the kitman doesn't change all the laces, and I'd have to do them myself, that would be another reason. Does anyone else hate changing laces? Specially flat ones.

Here here. I am in the same boat as you.

People are entitled to an opinion but I'd rather it not be preached to me, just like I wouldn't force the fact I'm gay on people.

As was said above me about what people in their own homes do, I fully agree. I don't like straight couples kissing in public, not because I'm gay but I'm just fully against PDA, keep it in the house.

One thing I will say is that I hate really camp, dramatic, loud men like Alan Carr or that goofy **** Rylan, regardless of their sexuality. That's not an issue of homophobia or whatever, they've just got an really irritating personality that makes me want to t**t them.

As much as I find him hilarious, I do agree. But then they can't really change their personalities no matter how ****ing annoying they are, well some can as they clearly play on the fact they're gay.

Saying that, you get some very feminine straight men these days!

I like these two points. I haven't got a problem with anyone because of their sexuality, I just hate people with annoying personalities like Alan Carr. Stephen Fry is gay, and he doesn't have the annoying, obnoxious, attention seeking attitude of some 'TV personalities'. And straight men can have these effeminate personalities as well. If a really masculine bloke gradually came to terms with being gay, he wouldn't start mincing around, would he? He'd retain all of his personality traits, and the only difference is that he likes men instead of women.
