I am right in thinking that when we sold him to Liverpool, we had a clause written stating we get paid a hefty fee if and when he started playing for England a certain amount of times ? If so does anyone know how many times he has to play and how much we might get ? I thought he looked great last night.

Sometimes it can be a million after 10-20-30 etc for England, there's probably the same for Liverpool but obviously a lesser amount. Hope we didn't do a saints and have it bought out for a derisory amount, they gave up their bale sell on clause for peanuts which then cost them multi millions.
Cannot believe that we did not have certain bonuses built into his transfer. I know we were on the back foot as Raheem wanted the move, but our 'upstairs' team at the time were never going to get businessman of the year awards. Everyone was talking about how good this kid would be, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear we 'sold out' at the time. And agree Staines, he looked the real deal last night with a lot of promise for the future.
