Against Everton, no. Against Hull I would suggest that we did play exactly the way we did last season.
Having watched the Sky 60 minutes back this avo, I have to say it was a bit less horrible than I thought at the time, as Robbie says We we in the ascendancy to begin with, not great by any means but the better side, but it was and is still so frustrating that we were so poor there after. I still can't begin to defend the initial team selection, for pitties sake play Howson AM or not at all! Stupid, stupid stupid management! I do stand by my comment that I think they look undercooked, I'm not sure we are as fit as we should be, during preseason (and I maybe wrong here) other PL teams seemed to start earlier, play abit more and seemed sharper by their final preseason fixtures. Some of our plays have not had a full preseason, granted but the energy just didn't seem fully there. Maybe I'm looking for excuses for what was a poor performance overall, I know it's hard to Breakdown a 10 man defense, (and so did most of our opponent's last season) but we really didn't look like we were going to yesterday. Still if we can learn and gain some understanding week on week then there are still enough little positives to believe we'll do alright. Bah!
