No not the Spanish waiter that's just joined Chelsea but our former flying dutchman has been the talk of Twitter over the past hour, this picture has just come about: Now I'm not German but I think it says: Ich neh wieder nach Spurs - which after I translated basically says "I go back to Spurs". This could mean he's just gonna pop in as I know he's injured at the moment but I can't help but get my hopes up that the legend that is Rafa van der Vaart COULD have just let a massive cat out of the bag. Come tomorrow morning we'll probably find out it was all a hoax from and he decided to make me look like a kid at Christmas getting all excited but I'm going to cling to the slightest bit of hope that Rafa MAY just return in January! If there was a God, now would be a time to prove it so bring Rafa back!
Haha wishful thinking methinks It's more likely a visit - but yes, having one of most exciting players for years back at the club would be awesome. Yes he disappeared in some games but then so does Bale, Defoe, Adebayor etc etc I'd have him back in a flash - I was so gutted when he went.
As would I mate, was a massive fan of his. Like I said, I'm clinging to the slightest bit of hope that he will come back... Deep down though I know it's never gonna happen
This is torture. I too, will be clinging on to hope that he's coming back. However, it'll never happen.
I loved the guy as a player - pure class. However, fact is, that if AVB rated him that highly, he would never have agreed to his sale in the first place. That being the case, I don't think we'll be seeing him in a Spurs shirt anytime soon.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's coming to the game tomorrow then. Can't see him coming back permanently, great player though.
Unless AVB can see it was a gaffe to let him go, if it was his wish to stay, I never really knew how accurate the being closer to Sylvie was...hang on! A central link from 'mf' to 'up top' is whats been missing, but saying that I've not followed his form, but I see he's on another 3week injury lay off. He has them with alarming regularity which is a bit of a put off. A full season of him on form and you could well win something, but you're just never going to get it.
The whole VDV episode was a bit like a dream. Did we really sign him in the first place. It seemed to come out of nowhere and at a knock down price. Then in games where is he? Then suddenly out of nothing the ball is in the net. All to soon VDV is off to Germany and whoosh he is gone. In hindsight I would like to see that episode all over again so I could make sure I didn't miss any of this master of football while all too briefly he wore the Spurs shirt. It was always a little surprising when you realised that a game had gone by and VDV had not scored.
Perhaps being back together with Sylvie, and being injured are not entirely unconnected. You don't need much of an imagination to see how you could do yourself an injury there!..
Don't worry about Rafa- just send Sylvie- Purrrrr!!! Sit her on the bench just to distract the mousers. Wait, scratch that ours will be as well!
Sorry mate! But I was getting too excited I just had to share in the hope someone on here may have a bit of inside info on it! COME BACK RAFA!!!
that was your old display pic, right? A while back, I almost asked you who it was My eyes really are ****e. I thought YV's Kaboul pic was John Terry for months and months!
It was indeed. Got rid because I felt I was being flirted with with and it was wrong! I hope my picture of Sylvie and your eyesight problems aren't connected!
