Having watched the game between Chelsea and Man City,I could not believe the
venom and hate that was thrown at Rafa.

I have no real opinion on Rafa , but to be greeted as he was by that vile home crowd
puts Chelsea FC firmly as the most repulsive club EVER.

With the on going problems with the Terry/Ferdinand and Clattenburg/Mikel sagas
and an owner who is nothing but a gangster,I am so glad to support Norwich.

Even in our darkest days under Chase,Roeder etc there was never ever this amount
of hostility attached to our club.

I hope all "Chelsea Fans" are proud of themselves.

I think you're over exaggerating it. They're unhappy with their former manager being sacked despite doing a reasonable job.

What is bad is the racist chants by West Ham fans to Tottenham yesterday.

rid of RdM -ABRAMOVICH

Don't think they were directly booing Rafa Benitez, but they were chanting Di Matteo's name

Rafa is doing it for the money - as simple as that. Just like everybody else.

You obviously did not see the game.

There were placards all around the ground saying " Benitez, you are not wanted here" and worse

Chanting for RdM is Ok,but he aint coming back.

At no time was any chanting aimed at ABRAMOVICH.

As far as Chelsea fans are concerned the русская мафия can do no wrong

As I predicted on an earlier thread, if you give people publicity, they will use it. The media is whipping up a storm. They are thoroughly enjoying the new topic of "hate" whether it is racist or personal. Every time you put on text on the TV or news on the internet, its about tweets, chants, banners and emails purporting to be the voice of football.
They are not. The massive majority of people who go to football go because they love the game, their club and the good things associated with that. Norwich do not get publicity about our family attitude towards its supporters, players and media. Our supporters are seen as yokels with nothing better to do. Norwich is not about image. Its about our attitude being the right one. But the tabloids don't want to put that on its pages.
Racism is just one part of hatred just as homophobia and anglophobia are others. I doubt if people are more interested in hearing about that than they are of hearing about what a good day out is to be had at a football match, particularly at Norwich. But the media obviously believe they are. And until there is some form of regulation over the media, things will get worse.
I know the freedom of the press and non censorship groups will disagree with that but something has to be done. 10 bloody reporters outside Dave Lee Travis house hoping that he did do something wrong is not my idea of reporting. I watch all news items waiting for a happy outcome but that disappoints the media so they go digging around again for the smallest little spark that can ignite the fires again.
