I think if Rafa does end up going he will leave a legacy at the club.

It’s not just some of the players he will leave, most of whom have increased in value and reputation... but more the fact that he was the spark which got the fans united against the regime and more importantly believing again.

Ashley will eventually go. I think in the next 12 months but Rafa will always represent what could be achieved at the club and therein any future manager will have a blueprint of how to manage the relationship fans.. and also what pride and dignity look like.

Thanks Rafa. If it is goodbye, the image of those specs being sexily tucked into your jacket pocket will live long... and I’m back in love with my team once more.

He's been a ****ing legend and the only man in the Ashley regime to not tow the party line and play mouthpiece.

Houghton may come close but nobody has been as loved by the fan base since Wor Bobby.

    Speaks volumes.

I think it'll be Steve Bruce or Tim Sherwood

We've actually got the basis of something good going at the moment. We have become a very solid side and no one looks forward to playing us. It's going to be an interesting summer on way or another. Just hope we some how manage to build from here rather than slide backwards again.

We don't have the best record for acting quicky. Have to get on that immediately. The way we are set up at the moment is working and gives us a solid base to move forward with but out of the whole squad he is the most important player to make that system work. I'm not saying we should just decide to be a one trick pony but keeping the key parts of this team together is critical so we can continue to make small steps towards further progress.

Legacy? Not very much to be honest in real terms. He hasn’t been allowed to. I suppose I would say his ‘legacy’ would be he turned us back into a professionally run outfit on the football side of the club and restored the fans sense of pride in the club.

Trouble is we would lose all that the instant he goes so it can hardly be classed as a legacy.
