Don’t know if anyone’s noticed but out of the top 8, we have to play 7 of them away, conversely we have 8 of the bottom 9 (exc ourselves) to play at home, is this a good thing or potentially problematic?
That should be good, win the bulk of those home games and that'd see us safe. Having said that, it's City. Our relegation season from premier, we had a similar quirk but the opposite. We played top teams all at home and bottom away in the second half of the season.
After 14 games this season, if you arranged all the teams we had played in alphabetical order, we had played the top 7 in that list all at home and the bottom 7 in that list all away. And still people treat Derek Acorah as a joke.
We seemed to have a run of playing teams in the automatic places earlier this season - largely due to them swapping places so we kept playing somebody in the top 2.
I suppose the further down the league you are, the more games appear troublesome. We've got a decent run coming up, but it's usually the teams around us we fail miserably with. I'm not usually worried about playing bigger teams, we seem to raise our game for them.
