Wickham and Noble? I am exited about the prospect of these 2 playing together in the future.

I know Noble still has a lot to prove, but I cant help thinking that he might be the answer to our problems.

Bruce banged on about Noble not being physically ready, but surely Owen wasnt that big a lad when he started banging them in at EPL level?

By all accounts Mclean did a very good job as well on the left wing.

Noble is a skinny kid but he is not a bettering ram kind of player, a poacher, SKP was a big hulk, or was he?

Noble needs to beef up, add a couple of stone of fat. Then he will lose his speed and agility, no good having them attributes in your game..

Don't know what the lad has to do to get his chance. He is banging them in for fun at the moment. I know it isn't the first team, but give the kid a chance he has earned it surely.

    Noble and Wickham?

I do like the sound of that. Power, pace and guile.

Both very young though and I'd like a wise old owl in there too. SKP benefited from Quinnys experience and Marco definately did from the old was horse Gatesy.

Wickham, Noble, Campbell and a good experienced mentor to bring them all on. That's a decent strike force for me.

Couldn't agree more Cest IMO a pairing of these young lads is very exciting but they will need someone more experienced to point them in the right direction maybe Quinny could be a none playing Mentor.

I can't wait to see these two play together but Noble does look quite slight. Maybe he is still growing so they have to be careful with any 'beefing up' programs. Anyone on here a physio who can confirm if I am right that lots of weight training etc is discouraged for young people who are still growing?

Kids like Michael Owen and Rooney were able to succeed at a senior level at 16/17 because all their growing was done. Although maybe Owen's injury problems later are related to overtraining when too young? Who knows.

Wickham has had a few injuries too which might be due to his bones and ligaments being overworked while in a growth spurt. Frighteningly, given the size of him already, he may still have some growing to do yet! Would love the two of them to work out though.

Wickham & Campbell for me. Noble will imo be superb but he does need to beef up a little bit.
