Sounds like a cracking idea to me Steve. Just wonder if Mick has the time to do it ATM as he seems to be a busy man. I'm no computer buff, but I'll ask you anyway, is it possible for Mick to have remote assistance with the site from people like yourself or does all of the work have to be done by the site owner?

Well quite honestly it all comes down to trust, i only have 2 other staff helping me with coding and server work, the rest of my staff keep the users in check lol and i have been going 7 years with my site.

all he needs to do is go into the admincp in one of the tabs (i have the invision powerboard forum, not this one but its very similar) there will be an RSS import.

just make a sunderland news sub forum (will take 2 minutes) dont let anyone make threads, just post in those threads, again 20 seconds max, then add RSS feeds to that forum from skyports/newsnow etc, depending on how many he wants, but newsnow will probably do as they do the same with other sites, RSS feeds into newsnow, they dont do any actual legwork, save it and it will start populating the subforum with RSS feeds from newsnow.

Its really easy, ok if he had to do every club it may be a pain, but i think only about 4 forums are even remotely busy, so he only has to do it with the 4 forums to start with. will take him 20 minutes tops.

If you mean the php and database stuff, then that does come down to trust in a big way, get the wrong person, and truncate the database = delete it and no come backs.

    Cheers Steve

Not as bigger job as I'd imagined it to be, but then again, I know how to operate PC's fine, but truncating databases etc. Whoosh! straight over my head mate.

Most of the database stuff and even php is over my head, hence why i have 2 ppl that know what they are doing helping out lol

and i only know about truncating as a hacker done it to us once, everything gone in an instant, wasnt nice i can tell you, and everyone had to start again (and with what we do thats wasnt easy, we lost a lot of members that day).

But what i mentioned doesnt even need any database work, its should all be in admincp of the forums.

I will never understand the mentality of hackers. What a sad lonely life they must lead.
