Exactly. What must a young striker think when he sees the 1st team set up without a striker. Probably..'what the **** am i doing here'

At the start of the season, l expected a mid to upper mid table finish.

Yes, we have been playing better than expected and quite consistently until recently.
Consider we were third and with games in hand, pushing for second, to now be out of the chase having also lost to some cellar dwellers.

To be fair, we were never going to be a formidable promotion chasing side but it chafes my buttcheeks to see us fall into a heap, when it matters most.

Past seasons expectations were nil, just survive any relegation battle. This season, we hit the ground running and we’re well placed for a exciting finish.

The bubble seems to have been burst and we are leaking points all over.

If only we could finish off a good year with a decent finish in the playoffs. I may now be expecting too much. Either way, the team always has my support, now 50 years of it.

I think the fact we were always winning by one goal, and last minute to boot, the writing was always on the wall.
I said back in October that if we are not looking at strikers because of the likes of Charlie Austin being in the squad, then it was always likely to come back to haunt us. Not hindsight, I said it. Now we are playing without a striker at all and are getting our comeuppance.
All rather sad given the lovely football we have been playing. Logic tells me if we are losing to P/Boro, Barnsley, Cardiff etc with barely a shot on target then how the hell are we going to win at Forest, Sheff U, Luton and Huddersfield? We'll finish 10th-11th.Likewise didley, 53 years and counting. See you all on Sunday.
