I'd take that if we played well to get it! Recent performances have been poor, so for me it's about a good game today. QPR won't make that easy though.
This result depends entirely on how we play. Play like we know we can and we'll win. A predict a return to winning ways today. 3-1 to the mighty Swans
Given our away points total I'm not expecting much, so should be pleasantly surprised if we get anything. What will cause things to be thrown at the TV will be another unnecessary weakening of the team with a bonkers starting selection, a performance like our last three and wasted chances. I'm desperate for a decent performance. The one bright part of the day is knowing Shelvey won't be in the starting line up. (Was looking to be in The Bush today as we were going to spend New Year with our kids in the Big City - (No Bluey not Cardiff!) so were a little confused when they turned up with New Year organised for us - it was good though . And TBH my head wouldn't have let me travel this morning.)
Here is the team lads, Vital Swansea City @VitalSwansea 17m17 minutes ago “@SwansOfficial: #Swans (v @QPRFC): Fabianski, Rangel, Fernandez, Williams (capt), Taylor, Britton, Ki, Dyer, Routledge, Sigurdsson, Gomis. #Swans subs (v @QPRFC): Tremmel, Richards, Bartley, Carroll, Emnes, Barrow, Bony
Incoming!!!!!!!!!!! Gomis played well when he came on at Anfield. I can understand why he's playing today as he needs to get match fit.
Because we don't need Bony to beat you Serious note though, Bony goes to the ACON after today so Gomis needs the minutes to get sharp.
I see it as a case of Gomis on for 60mins to get some much needed minutes under his belt and then Bony comes on for the last 30. Let's be honest, we can't expect Gomis to lead the line for the next month and expect him to pull up trees if he's only been having the odd 15-20 mins here or there.
We have to look ahead to the next 5 weeks, not just today's game. QPR have the second best home PL record - we'll probably lose.
