QPR striker snubs Millwall By Jacob Murtagh Jun 28 2011 Share Add a comment Recommend Rob Hulse Image 2 ROB Hulse has snubbed a loan move to Millwall as he wants to stay and fight for his place at QPR. The 31-year-old has scored just twice for Rangers since his switch from Derby County last August, with a new frontman top of boss Neil Warnock's shopping list. But Hulse has vowed to stay at Loftus Road and battle for a spot in the starting XI. His agent Matt Buck said: "Rob is aware of the interest in him but he is focusing solely on QPR at the moment. He wants to play Premier League football. "His priority is to be in the manager’s squad on the first day of the season." Maybe he will come good after a good pre-season??. We should remember he got 8 goals in 20 prem appearances before he got snapped and the Sheff Utd went down so that proves he can do it. Though looking at him last season, he did look shot to pieces
players surprise me at times. Surely a striker will thrieve on scoring goals - AND as NW is pepared to let him go out on loan, why not? If you score loads you will be back at Loftus quicker than you can say takeoverbid! However, Rowly went there last year and didn't play so maybe that was in his mindset
He's rubbish. I don't know why we still have so much dross on our books just weeks away from the new season. Come on Rangers, get into gear!
HH had a poor first season with us, yet last season he was a valuable member of the squad. I think Bakes is right: a good preseason could do Hulse a lot of good. On the other hand, we do seem to have a lot of squad players, some of whom will have to make way for the raft of top class new recruits that are poised to join us! I trust NW to make the right decision but if he's been encouraging Hulse to go on loan to Millwall, that suggests he feels the player may be over the hill.
I have a sneaky feeling that 'Hulse with no Pulse' might just prove every one wrong in the Premier! I can't believe I just said that
Football League Hulse not interested in Hoops exit QPR striker Rob Hulse has no intention of leaving Loftus Road and wants to establish himself as a force in the Premier League, according to the player's agent. Hulse has been linked with a move away this summer but his agent Matt Buck insists he is fully focused on proving his worth in the top flight - a stance that recently saw him reject the chance of joining Millwall. "There was an inquiry to QPR and there was an inquiry to Rob to see what his thoughts were on it," Buck told Press Association Sport. "Basically he wants to go back pre-season and try to prove himself to the coaching staff and people at QPR that he warrants a place in the Premier League 25-man squad." He added: "And hopefully the Premier League matchday squad." He added: "Rob is not even considering temporary moves at the moment. "With Millwall if the situation changes we told them we would keep them in informed like anybody else. "But his whole 100% focus is to get back, work hard in pre-season, work hard in the friendly games and prove he is worth that place." Hulse penned a three-year deal with QPR when he joined from Derby last summer, but only made 12 starts in the second tier.
Now that he is staying, just poping down to Paddy Power to see the odds on me old mate Rob being premier league's top scorer.
36 prem games to his name (Baggies and Blades): 8 goals in all... And that's it, he's been a second grade 1 in 4 man all his life. What're the chances of turning that round anytime soon? I know some will think me unrealistic, but for the money they're on, any striker who can't hit 1 in 2 is either pretty poor himself or playing for a **** team. One of Warnock's more mindless allegiances imo (both at Sheff Utd and here).
