Is there one? I often come across Manure one's as well as the odd Portsmouth one (As I am based down there) and having spoken with a fan he advised me that VISA/Mastercard make donations on your behalf to the club each year to invest in youth set-up/progress. Sounds like a great idea really, and i'd be more than happy to spend on a QPR credit card if I know the club may get some benefit from it, regardless of how small. I already have a charity credit card which offers something similar.
Wake up ... if it's a credit card then it's not your money ... I would love to see credit cards have a £100 joining fee like in France may stop more people falling into debt and then a life of stress. I used to love the fact that when it all started (credit) there were loopholes whereupon you could have loads of them and peter would pay off paul (if you get my drift) effectively allowing you to max out and then put the debt to sleep as they would be paying each other ... People would then move on and generate another circle of debt ... they closed that up quickly ... outraged? ... its exactly what the banks were doing all along ... borrowing money and putting the debts to sleep
but if you are using one anyway why not swap the one you are using for the QPR card depending on the apr of course or just pay it off in full every month
Most debt is third party owned anyway. Probably can all get traced back to one company in Switzerland who have millions of handwritten IOUs including ones from the IMF.
I do this anyway. And as mentioned in the OP, the card issuer will contribute funds to your chosen club each year to aid in academy development. So the money isn't managed by the club. Which I thought would have been pretty obvious as they are not a credit lending authority. I did look through the net Kiwi, but alas I can not find one for my beloved Rrrrs.
I had one during the Chris Wright economic boom.. along with the share certificates.. i was so proud of it i used to get it out at every opportunity wheras normally my wallet has a japanes prisoner of war hiding inside..
There certainly used to be one, comlete with logo on the card. They wrote to me, must be at least 3 years ago, to say changes to card, incorporated to another etc. Never renewed after that. I'm pretty certain I saw some ladies trying to entice people to sign up for one within the last 2 years but nothing on the website that I can see.
I had one, too. MBNA were the mob behind it. The really nice thing was, as I recall, for every £ spent, a small donation went to help fund the youth team set up.
