Charlie Austin transfer: Newcastle and Tottenham on alert as QPR lower striker's asking price The 26-year-old has so far been priced out of a Premier League return but relegated Hoops will now sell for £13m — if the fee is paid in full QPR are willing to drop their asking price for Charlie Austin to £13million - provided the transfer fee is paid in full. So far, the England striker has been priced out of a move away from Loftus Road, because of relegated Rangers' £15m price tag. But when Newcastle made a fresh enquiry about signing the 26-year-old front man this week, they were told the price could be adjusted if Toon were willing to make a complete payment immediately. Club bosses at St James’s Park believe a £13m valuation is still too high though - and are left contemplating whether they will now sign another forward this summer. With the number of clubs interested in Austin dwindling, it could leave the door open for Tottenham to make their move.
That is because he was c@@@ yesterday, many more performances like that and we will be giving him away with a pint of milk
By what people was saying yesterday who was at the game Charlie looked disinterested so we need to cash in now even if it is 13 mil and buy some defenders and strikers, we can not wait last minute like the remy deal.
Won't it be bloody typical that Daniel Levy will swoop in and get him for a giveaway price. In a way you can't blame Charlie for being so pissed off with things the way we played, we're light years from being a promotion threat...

Seriously, many have said for some time now, myself included, who are fed up with this ongoing saga. Hopefully, it will end asap.
He is good enough, he just needs to play in the right system, with a 'feeder' such as Zamora. You don't score that many goals if you aren't good enough, that can't be taught or coached...
If we drop the price it should include getting a good young defender on loan for a season if they have one!
What's your source Kiwi? I must admit I can't see any rational basis for distinguishing between a player who is worth £15 million and one who isn't. The Serb that Toon got from Anderlecht is apparently worth more than Charlie. Can someone who says Charlie isn't worth that much justify his reasons and provide some comparators. To me someone who has never played in the Prem before, played in a **** team, yet still managed to score 18 goals, is only 26 and has the right attitude (ok-I know apparently he didn't yesterday because he is demotivated but would soon get his Mojo back when he is eventually signed) should be worth that when you consider the prices paid for some players who nobody has ever really heard of and who disappoint. Anyway I digress. Tell us your source because I am in a quandary as to whether this is lazy journalism or is based on some hard info. By the way, looking at recent photos is Charlie our new fat boy?
