How the **** can this place get to host a World Cup? No footballing pedigree, no interest in it from the natives and absolutely ****ing roasting in the summer. Had a couple of stopovers there between flights to and from Baghdad and it's ****ing grim. Is Blatter trying to rake in as much money as possible from the energy rich countries of Russia and Qatar before he kicks it? Absolutely ****ing scandalous.

Qatar have loads of money tho and 12 years to build. look what abu dabi did in 2 years for the grand prix. 2 years ago the place was a desert without even electricity. now its the best circuit in the world with the best facilties by far. its immense. but i do agree, they have **** all football pedigree
Qatar will throw loads of money at it ... Some of their Sports venues just now are out of this world - they have loads of stuff they built for the Asian games! The facilities will **** over anything else the world has to offer! I think they will be making "fanzones" so you can get a bevvy and have plans in place for temp controlled stadiums to get roudn the fact in the summer it's 50+ degrees It's a small country and getting around should be easy - Russia on teh other hand
