Another draw and another point on the board. All valuable come the end of the season. We are just coming out the other end of a very difficult start to the season. Sides such as Colchester, Wolves, Brentford, Swindon and Bristol City. Ok Wolves battered us but they are the exception. Colchester oh well we'll forget them but along with Brentford only taking points in the dying minutes. We took a 2-2 draw away from the County Ground last week and yet this week at the same place Crewe leak more goals than the Gills did at Molineux. So what bodes at Broadfield next Saturday, the Posh unbeaten until today then Crawley go and spoil their party taking all three points away. Ok, no win in our opening five games but taking every valuable point will count once we eventually find our way. Apart from the trip to Wolverhampton we are holding our own in League One with a far lesser budget than most of the teams we have currently faced. If we can win next weekend it really will be like taking three golden points resembling the colour of the Jules Rimet Trophy. I get the feeling this really is going to be a topsy turvy season. In MadDog we trust...don't we?
1st half today was 1st class, as soon as they equalised, heads dropped and things went downhill, positioning and passing was poor. So I think we can't take alot from the 1st half today and build and I'm sure out win will come sooner rather than later
First game I have been to for a long time. I looked to the positives. Seems to me how you see the point gained\lost today is influenced by the people around you.
Positives:- Stuart Nelson. Played well in the first half and created lots of chances. Stuart Nelson. Worked hard to close them down and win back possession. Stuart Nelson. Negatives:- Failed to convert the chances we made. Defensively poor for their goal and lots of the second half. Fitness levels seemed second best, tired badly in the second half. Substitutes failed to impress.
Yet fitness, resilience, and concentration were our strengths last season. Undone in moments when the lack of these present themselves this season......not being a whinge bag but these are schoolboy basics.
Hate to be negative and I know its been addressed but it doesn't really matter how well we played in those games, we still haven't won. I know we played well today and we could have beaten Colchester but still that won't matter at the end of the season. We played well in the full season under stimson in League 1 but we still went down. I will look forward to the Orient and Crawley games and personally I feel we could sneak both games but we still haven't won. Maybe it will just click and we will get a few wins on the bounce but it right now, we need some wins. 3 games unbeaten granted but still only 3 points of a possible 9 and for the less mathematically able is the same as 1 win and 2 losses. If that was the case and we had won 1 and lost 4 this season, I feel the mood would be slightly less bright.
True. But seeing as that is not the case, and we are actually unbeaten in 3 (tough games as well) I'll look on the bright side.

First half there were times when we had them so locked down they had NO options left but to give ball back to their keeper, second half was awful we got too deep and a few key players just ran out of steam. I would have kept the beast on for a bit longer. I really don't get the all 11 back to defend corners why not leave at least one up? Finally and I'm not going to stop till it happens CODY AND BAYO?????? why not?? And given all the above not unhappy with a point against them and another improved performance Roy
