Sweet Chariot was appropriate at the time - very dry satire! But to continue it (and others) is merely to mock ourselves! TP only looks at the stats he wants to, like goal conversion (which is very high because of the lack of chance we create) and how far a player has run etc... He doesn't look at common sence things like pass completion and retention of the ball and the fact that 5 miles of Walters' 8 mile game run is spent defending not attacking! 2 wins in the last 10 in the prem - hope this improves - if not we will probablly be finishing 15th.

You've helped make my point a little here, no I don't want to see us just smashing the ball up rather than constructive passing, but when it comes to passing for the sake of it, at least a hopeful punt is taking it in FORWARDS, not sideways and back. What would be even better, would be a some nice passing, and a good long ball to a midfielder if we get stuck, but that is being hopeful!!

In short, balance is whats needed. We need to pass more, Swansea need to be more direct. Simples.

Yep I agree with that Pistol, a balance would be perfect! Swansea seem to be getting by with their championship squad OK and will no doubt develop as they play more games and hopefully survive the drop. However, we have had three and half seasons to develop from our championship days and to be honest I cant see any difference! We have spent the money and probably have the majority of team needed to evolve our style and ability but have chosen to stick with the "binary season" approach!

It was all about the three year plan and all fans (like it or not) were prepared to wait! The three year plan comes and goes and here we are into our 4th year and arguably playing the worse football since we have been promoted and less "up and at em.." than ever. Which is the foundation of our success! Something TP obviously hasnt realised after his commenst fromt he Swanse game!
