If he does well, it will become a stick to beat MP with. For that reason, I'll be keeping my good luck comments locked away for another month of the year.
We have been in gradual decline for a couple of years now because we sold too many top players and that is not really Puels fault or Pellegrinos I wish Puel very well for Leicester. He did nothing massively wrong for saints as far as I was concerned , he just struggled to get some lazy over paid footballers to do their job with nothing to play for for the final quarter of the season but him! Whether the ambition of the club will swing upwards again (like an errect cock) as we have a new owner - only time will tell.
And to top that off, most fans when it was reported he was going to be our manager it was” Claude who!?!?” The problem was most fans wanted a “well named manager “ when RK left,so when he arrived he was always on a negative and was never really going to change that train of thought. Personally yes the football was dull but consequently I would have liked to see him given more time to stamp his mark on the team. All this fans stamp feet and spit dummies out of pram attitude to get their way doesn’t always work. Let’s hope we give our manager time to get his point across. Good luck Claude
Good luck to him - except against Saints of course. MP1 was on telly the other night saying how important cup games were etc. Really?. Puel got us there (beating that lot home and away), and we deserved to have won the final. Respect.
I wanted him sacked..........however I want him to do well at Leicester. Not that well it affects our position but I still want him to do well. That question however is a little pointed. If he does well at Leicester it doesn't change the fact that here he had us playing ineffective boring football. Whether he turns Leicester into the Ranieri winning Leicester or the Ranieri losing Leciester he was still dire here. Good luck to him though.
He was only here for one season but became one of the top five most successful Saints managers of all time....just throwing that out there...
And I was going to ask why has he nicked my Avatar? But it seems I've done the same to Craig?? Spooky five days early.
But when you're playing with Shane Long as your number one goalscorer, a striker who is exceptionally wasteful but (as he did the year previous) capable of scoring (eventually!) if you give him enough chances in space, it'd perhaps behoove you to play a style that involved him getting some chances in space. The ultra-patient buildup had the secondary effect of ensuring that most of the chances we did get were in congested areas, which made our goalshy players even less likely to hit the target.
