    No - they don't have wings they have wing-like pectoral fins - and they live in water. The creatures I'm thinking of have 'real' wings and don't live in water - but are classified as fish. Only in America though...

    Yup. The Californian government reclassified bees as fish last month - actually because insects aren't covered in the state's endangered species laws so couldn't be declared as endangered. The laws do cover fish so to solve the problem, bees were simply reclassified as fish.

    Born 1835 across the pond and then some, I didn't graduate from college but taught science and devised experimental equipment there all the same. In the course of my career I notched up 70 patents...
