It sounds defeatist but I can honestly see him seriously considering the opportunity to go back to France.
I know his mate MD is here but he was promised a decent standard of football and has been given a diet of hoofball.
So hope I'm wrong but I think him or Benni may be the ones to go.

Paris Saint Germain confirm Samir Nasri and Yohan Cabaye interest

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in Manchester City's Samir Nasri and Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

Nasri has endured an inconsistent season, with manager Roberto Mancini recently admitting to wanting to punch the playmaker.

However, the Ligue 1 leaders are preparing a move for the 25-year-old, according to The Express.

The Parisians are also interested into Newcastle's Cabaye, with PSG's director of football Leonardo saying that the club are trying to develop a French core to their squad.

"The idea of seeing great French players here is something I like," Leonardo is quoted as saying.

"I'm not necessarily talking about Karim Benzema, but maybe Samir Nasri, Franck Ribery or Yohan Cabaye. We do want a larger squad with adequate cover, in order to avoid the sort of problems we had in January in midfield, with injuries and suspensions."

Nasri moved from Arsenal to The Etihad in August 2011, with Cabaye joining the Magpies from Lille in the same transfer window.

So that's Rooney, Nani, Nasri and Cabaye. They're seriously spending.

But remember, there's a tax thing over in France. Cabaye might not actually earn more.

I know he's not had his greatest season but I really hope we hold onto him. Not only do we need him for the fact hat he has so much to offer on the pitch, but if he left it could seriously affect how settled some of our other French players were. I may be wrong but I see him as having a lot of positive influence among them.

One thing we need to remember though is that although PSG play in the champions league and are a big club and pay big money, they don't play in the premier league. I think a lot of these players came here because they want to play in the premier league. I would be far more worried about a bid from a big English team, although after this season. with Ashley's policy, that is now less likely.

Didn't Monsieur Hollande say footballers were exempt from the tax hike or am I making this up?

Fairly sure they are taxed too. That was one of the criticisms thrown at beckham - cos he wouldn't have been bring much home anyway by his standards - though that criticism was unfair as he still didn't need to do it.

Me too. He's awesome when he's on form - makes the team tick. I think he's also being misused to a degree. Although he can perform the deep midfield role to a decent standard I think he would really come into his own if payed higher up the pitch. He looked brilliant playing behind Cisse at the end of last season and created tonnes of chances. Defence splitting passes were, for that brief spell, a thing of beautiful normalcy.

I'm sure it's just the tabloids posturing for the close season
where we hear all types of crap and everyone gets flustered
then nothing happens and we all breathe again

Agreed. If Cabaye and Sissoko were just swapped around, I feel we would be a lot more balanced and effective.

Cabaye will be our next captain and the team is being built around him. Don't think he will move IMO

ACS, are you saying we will sell our players and get relegated?
