    PSD GAMES: Rules and Information

    The following are the rules I use throughout the games. I think I have covered most possible events but in the event of a dispute the final decision will be the moderators.
    There are a few slight rule changes this year to clarify some issues and to make the game fair and easy to run.
    ====================================

    SATURDAY TIPSTER GAME

    1. You must enter the CORRECT CODES and method of entry or risk losing points.
    2. If you miss a week after starting you will score the LOWEST score for that week.
    3. More than 3 weeks missed predictions and/or 3 on the trot and you are removed from game.
    4. No MORE than 10 draws allowed in forecast due to spreadsheet limitations. Any after 10 will be changed to HOME result.
    5. Predictions have to be in usually by NOON each Saturday (or at my discretion)
    If an entry is made twice by mistake, the LAST entry will be used.
    6. If due to technical failure, of a Forum's site and/or loss of internet access notified, some players miss their entry I will put in the "average score for that week instead of the rule 2.
    BUT no amendments to posted entries taken after this time.
    7. All matches are scored as at 90 mins.

    New Starters in the game allowed up to and including week 3 (starting in position 80% down the table)
    New Starters after week 3 start in position 90% down the table.

    BONUS POINTS

    BONUS POINTS for correct results
    10 correct..1pt ... 11 correct..2pt ..12 correct..3pt and so on.

    In the event of less than 15 games played BONUS points will start on 1pt for getting 66% correct (rounded to nearest whole number)

    The SATURDAY Tipster Game is run in 2 PHASES. The first ends on December 31st or 2nd January depending on fixture list
    Top will be declared the winner of Phase 1
    =======================================
    A NEW games will start straight up again in mid January from scratch and new fans can join the 2nd half of season.

    Phase 2 Game ends at end of season.. The Top will be declared winner of Phase 2
    ALL totals will be carried forward from both parts to be used to determine the
    OVERALL TOP TIPSTER SEASON CHAMPION

    ===========================================
    VIRTUAL BOOKIES (Part of the Saturday Tipster Game)

    Reminder of the Rules.
    1. You must put in the CORRECT code sand method of entry or risk losing points.
    2. You are allowed to miss 2 weeks without penalty
    You lose £70 after that for any missed week.
    3. BUT... more than 3 weeks missed and you are out.
    4. New players can start without penalty up and including to week 3.
    5 .New players after week 3 will start on £70 and with 1 * missed weeks counted
    6. Other rules follow the Tipster Game.

    The Virtual Bookies game is run in 2 PHASES. The first ends on December 31st or 2nd January depending on fixture list

    Top will be declared the winner of Phase 1

    A NEW games will start straight up again in early January from scratch and new fans can join the 2nd half of season.
    Phase 2 Game ends at end of season..The Top will be declared winner of Phase 2

    BUT ALL TOTALS WILL BE NOTED and CARRIED FORWARD to be used to determine the

    OVERALL SEASON CHAMPION of the VIRTUAL BOOKIES

    ==================================================
    TOP SIX POINTS CHALLENGE

    HOW IT WORKS and RULES
    You are requested to select the TOP SIX teams and the POINTS they will end up with at the end of the CHAMPIONSHIP season.

    Only 1 RULE this season the 6th placed team you forecast MUST be 70 points or MORE.

    SCORING is simple 1 point for every point you are away from the final totals of each team.

    The LOWEST score will be the winner.
    ========================================

    TOP and BOTTOM game

    HOW IT WORKS and RULES
    You are required to predict the TOP 4 and BOTTOM 4 teams from each divison.
    SCORING is simple.
    ADD the TOTAL points your 4 TOP teams get.
    then
    SUBTRACT the total points your 4 BOTTOM teams get.
    This gives you your GAME SCORE

    NOTE: for the purpose of this game any POINTS DEDUCTIONS will be ignored

    In the event of a tie the tie breaker will be used which is just using top 3 divisions first then so on.

    ==========================================

    FA CUP TOP TIPSTER

    1. You must enter the CORRECT CODES and method of entry or risk losing points.
    2. If you miss a round after starting you will score the LOWEST score for that round. Miss more than 2 rounds and you are eliminated for the game.
    3. BONUS POINTS will be allocated on a round by round basis depending on the number of games.
    Details of BONUS will be given with the fixtures. ( normally around 60% correct for 1pt)
    4. Predictions have to be in usually by first match kick off (unless otherwise notified and at my discretion). If later then the previous matches will not be used after kick offs.
    If an entry is made twice by mistake, the LAST entry will be used. All predictions are based on 90 mins.
    5. NEW PLAYERS can join after start under the following scores.
    Join After 1st or 2nd Round : Given points of team 80% down the table.
    No new players after Round 3.

    Head to Head KNOCK OUTS

    Head to Head Knock Out's are arranged at times throughout the season. To make the DRAW for these as easy as possible they will be drawn AUTOMATICALLY.

    To clarify the method of the draw for each round.
    In the early round some "byes" will be necessary and these will be the top teams from the results table. OR if the need to reduce the number of teams to 32 (64) some elimination ties will be played using teams from the bottom of the table.

    The Top team left in any knock out draw will play the Bottom team left in any knockout using the previous weeks points table.
    The 2nd team left in knock down the table will then play the 2nd from bottom of those teams still left in the game. and so on till all ties are decided.

    In the later rounds the tie could be decided over 2 weeks predictions.
    This will be announced at the time of the draw.
    In later rounds failure to submit an entry in a tie will result in their place being taken by a "reserve" taken from the highest losers from the previous round in order down the points table if more than one.

    Match Scores Tied
    For the Saturday Tipster Head to Head a tied result will be decided by using the highest "3 Banker points total"
    For the FA Cup Head to Head a tie will be decided by a method indicated or organising a play off using replays or similar

    In the event of a "no result" tie due to BOTH missed entries in the 1st round, the HIGHEST losing total (from the other ties) will pass through to next round and if teams miss an entry after the first round their place will be taken by the highest losing entries from the previous rounds.

    Its been a bit hard this year in promoting the games but as from now it should be easier to get the entries in, especially from those who know the games.

    Cheers
