In 50 years of supporting the Bluebirds I have never been so proud of this fantastic club. I will never be able to find sufficient words to describe fully how proud I am today.
I'm proud of the team & you probably know my history around here . Scoring that 2nd goal was simply f#cking amazing . I knew if Cardiff could get to penalty kicks , Liverpool would screw up , to bad Cardiff kind of did too . One penalty kick away from the win , one flippin penalty kick & Liverpool wouldn't have been able to answer .. Well done to the team , with heart like that , spending money is a bit less important . Good luck to the team in there quest for promotion .
Can hold our heads high. Rode our luck at times but big heart from the boys. Nice to see TG and VT shake every city players hand and hug them. Also congratulated every Liverpool players and clapped when Anthony's cousin lifted the cup. Our owners equally did us proud. Whatever happens this season, they'll be with us for a while.
I watched a tremendous game of football today (on the telly) and I have to say if I was a Cardiff City fan, I would be a very proud man tonight! You guys gave it your all and couldn't have got closer without winning it! I'm a Chelsea fan of many years, and have experienced a fair few " final showdowns" with Liverpool in my time--and I wouldn't have ever been disappointed with any of them, if they'd ground it out like your lot did! WELL DONE!
Guys, the players on that field today did yuo all very proud, but also did Wales, as a nation, proud. We both say we "hate" one another, but do we? Deep down, I don't think we can say that. I always said I'd be wishing for Liverpool to win, but when you equalised in extra time, I punched the air. You have a great team there and a great manager, future looks bright for both Welsh clubs.
Cheers Jackash I respect Swansea playing a good brand of football!!!! It's got to be a good thing that these welsh clubs are doing so well!! Just like rugby we got to look at the bigger picture...is it by coincidence that the national team has started to improve over the last few years I doubt it it's due to these clubs bringing through great youngsters!!! Rivalry aside !!!CYMRU AM BYTH!!!
You too pal. To hear comments like yours and Crackers means alot more than from any other fans just because off the history between our clubs. Thanks !!
A brilliant effort. Have to say thats the best game ive ever been to. Best manager weve had and even though we had better individuals this is the best TEAM weve ever had and someday soon we will be where we belong. Even though we lost and im gutted yesterday was worth sticking by the local side in Wales. So much better than being a plastic fan. Only the real fans (genuine Scousers included) can experience the full emotions of a victory or a defeat. Swansea fans are getting the full reward of sticking by their team. We are almost there and even though we are still in the Championship getting to a penalty shoot out with Liverpool in a Cup Final was unthinkable when I first attended NP. Id rather be back supporting Cardiff in League 2 than wear a Man U or Liverpool shirt. (no offence to genuine Man U or Liverpool fans)
Fantastic game and Cardiff were the main contributors in that, fair play. Can't say I wanted you to win, I didn't. Can't say I want to see you promoted, I don't. Can't say it would be 'good for Welsh football' - you didn't have any Welsh players on the field as far as I'm aware. I may be wrong on that, not sure. But bloody hell, you did yourselves proud. A great game of football played the right way.
thanks to all the comments above guys from the swans to the chelsea fan and all the liverpool fans on other threads. i'm immensely proud of the team and malky mackay so much so that i was almost in tears yesterday..the level of commitment was incredible,to come back in extra time summed that up..over the course of the play i guess liverpool deserved it but that miller chance just keeps playing over and over in my head like a bad dream but hey just wasnt to be..liverpool fans were great and they also played a great part in the atmosphere and fair play they were even looking over at us clapping after we equalised which i thought was a lovely touch
