Can there be some sort of anti protest lol. To show the media that not all NUFC fans are charvers just looking for a reason to make a nuisance of themselves. These kids in my mind. Arent even proper supporters. They are the kind that wear the shirt. Yet, on match day they are too busy nicking cars to care about the game.

I think a protest is a good idea, provided it's a good one like boycotting a cup game or something.

I'm sorry to pick on this quote, out of all of them. But here we go...

WE HAVE BOUGHT A ****ING STRIKER. WE BOUGHT BA.

Know, Ba might not be your ideal idea of a replacement for Carroll...

BUT WHO THE **** WAS CARROLL!?! He *is* the new big thing, he *is* the next top striker... BUt we got 35 million for a guy who has done **** ALL in the Premiership. **** ALL. And we did this before we reach a point where clubs ARE RESTRICTED in what they can spend each year. Who would spend 35 million on a player that had half a good season when what they spend is on a budget? And not just a 'our owners are ****ing rich' budget, but a budget set on what you earn?

The Carroll deal was amazing. We haven't signed a new super-mega striker. But we have signed a striker.

No, its a silly idea. Negative media, in my opinion. Was a underlying reason as to why we found ourselves relegated in 2009. If the fans choose to do it again. The consequences could very well be disastrous.

Yes but if you remember he put the club up for sale in 2008, only for the recession to strike within a week.

Nah, that's Liverpool. Our's just walk around the town or hang around outside the ground with their hands in their pockets.

Why would you stop going to matches and stop supporting the team who have been playing well?

Best thing to do is to protest at the match, Ashley heard us last time.

I won't be going, and I would encourage others not to either. It's this sort of thing that makes a mockery of our club, and after all this talk that Santon, Cabaye, Marveaux etc. have been given about what good fans we are, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be particularly impressed with some crappy protest. Back the players, ignore the owner. He doesn't care about us, and we shouldn't care about him, hence the song.

    To be honest. We havent.

We still have Colo, Tiote, Saylor. These 3, along with Harper will be the core of the dressing room. Yes, Nolan was a leader, and scored goals. But last season, at times. He looked poor.

The only reason he is seen as being our 'best' player last year was goals. Pundits, and fans are so fickle these days.

Barton, yeh, he performed well. But, with his attitude. Better out the club imo. Cant have the fans, and the players causing problems!

Same with Enrique aswell. Brilliant player, but I think his attitude would have been negative too.

Keep doing the same thing, get the same results we need a thoughtful protest however.

Very true. I was just going from a York point of view. A lad was arrested for stealing a car, because he left his Newcastle shirt in the car <doh>

In all honesty it'd be the worst thing to do. The season we went down it all went down hill when people protested and i can see it happening again if this all starts off and we have 'boycoutt the club' bed sheet brigade out. Just support the players, don't buy anything at the ground, don't buy the shirts.

Although I think the other lad is a bit too happy, if we'd paid for Ba would he therefore have been a suitable replacement. He has a better scoring record than EVERY striker we were linked with and in this league. Just because he was free, doesnt make him a bad signing. And 'all' our best players. I'd say one of our best, and one of our better players. You made a very sensible point earlier re: people not saying Cockney Mafia if they're going to protest mind you. It won't be heeded, just loads of bairns with 'cockneys out' bed sheets, and Steve Wraith trying to push his new venture, sorry looking after the clubs best interests...

    I hope you are wrong.

I think Colo, Tiote and Definetley Saylor will take alot more getting rid of. Not because clubs wont want them. But because they do seem to have geniuine care for the club.

Barton said he did, but I think that was just to win over the fans.

Much like Nolan. Soon as he left, he was telling Newcastle fans to **** off at Glastonbury (Rumour I know. But the lad that posted it on here. Isnt known for Wumming) Then saying players should escape the Toon.

I think next season Collocini for sure because his contract will be up for renewal and he's on massive wages, if Tiote has another good season the high bids will come in, Taylor perhaps we will keep him.

Stop the pessimism. Although, keep forgetting about Colo's contract. Hmmm.
