Similar story in IT. A private sector IT Service Desk Technician earns 12000 to 15000 p.a. while in the public sector it is 18000 to 21000 p.a.

I've thought about it and don't get what you are trying to say

Pensions care if a job is temporary?

but you get paid around double what a private sector employee would over the same period so save in to your own pension scheme or an ISA like edge suggested. <rocketscience>

I start getting my Army pension in 3 years time when i'm 55 and to be honest i'm not going to lose any sleep over private sector workers who are in a ****ty pension scheme.

Similary i'm in another FS pensions scheme just now but I pay 6.5% of my salary into it whereas lots of private sector pensions are contribution free.

    In essence I don't give a monkey's **** about anyone but me.

You don't get double in most public servant jobs. That's just ****ing bullshit. It's not my fault you happened to pick a career in the few jobs where temporary staf in the public sector earn more than you do. People working in Jobcentres, benefit's offices etc. get paid ****e salaries and have to put up with **** awful working conditions. I did it for a couple of years and it was ****e.

As I said earlier, blame the ****s responsible for the current economic meltdown. It's not people working inthe public sector who are responsibe for your pension being ****ed.

They get paid ****e because they do unskilled work.

I know its not their fault but i want them to be as ****ed as i am and i dont appreciate their moaning about how hard they have it when i am as ****ed as i am.

Wow. Two cases. As I pointed out these are the exceptions, not the rule.

Look, you carry on bashing public sector workers all you want. I'm sure the millionaires and billionaires must be ****ting themselves at the thought of spending your pension money while you moan about how unfair it is that Joe Public gets a half decent pension.

Wasn't there also a news story recently about how Public Sector workers do earn more on average than Private Sector workers or did I imagine that?

They were employing private sector nurses not long ago who were earning a years public salary in six months.

Just carry on son. I'm sure the rich ****ers who are stealing your pension must be loving you.

I work for a small company with 3 employees so your presumption of me getting shafted by a millionaire are unfounded. not that that would make any difference anyway. an employer is entitled to more money than employees due to their own hard work and greater levels of responsibility.

I was generalising, obviously. But, as I said, carry on bashing public sector workers who've done **** all wrong. It's the easy option.
