i have to say.. it’s been a long time since I’ve felt so proud of the Newcastle team. I no longer fear a hammering and expect the worst. I have optimism and just know that Rafa’s mags will empty the locker for the shirt. The pride is back in the team and the city imho and long may it continue.
We fought for everything last night and against one of the best teams in the world, we were unlucky to not hold onto a draw. We made them nervous, make mistakes, whilst creating our own chances ourselves. We just lack a bit of quality. Almiron and Lejeune coming back will change that but we really do need someone in the middle who can connect it all together, and create chances. Someone with Shelveys ability, Ki's calmness and Longstaff's energy!
This highlights how brilliant Mike Ashley is at his job. Hes successfully managed to make money and lower the expectations of fans to a realistic level. Kudos to Ashley
