AFTER back-to-back wins at Loftus Road, QPR head to Deepdale – the home of in-form Preston North End – this weekend, hoping to build on their fine form in the last dozen games.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s men have lost just two of their last 12 matches in the Sky Bet Championship, with five wins and five draws from that run of fixtures.

As a result of that recent positive sequence, Rangers have climbed back into the top half of the table into eleventh – nine points off the play-offs.

Saturday’s opponents Preston are in fine fettle themselves, however, having won five of their last eight games.

Simon Grayson’s side beat rock-bottom Bolton Wanderers 2-1 last weekend, and currently sit one place and two points above the Hoops in the table.

Hasselbaink is unlikely to shuffle his pack too much for the trip to Lancashire, having named an unchanged side for the recent victories over Derby County and Brentford in W12.

In-form duo Tjaronn Chery and Sebastian Polter are again expected to lead the line in attack, with Conor Washington – who received a first call-up to the Northern Ireland national squad earlier this week – likely to be named amongst the R’s substitutes.

North End will check on the fitness of Alan Browne and Paul Huntington.

Browne has missed two games with a hip problem, while a calf injury kept Huntington out of the win at Bolton last weekend.

An attempt to recall Ben Davies from his loan with Newport as cover in defence, has hit red tape over the need to get international clearance.

    9s you keep on out-doing yourself....week by week !!

With supporters like that, how can we possibly go wrong !!

Big game today, would be happy with a point, but, you never know ??

Are you referring to 9s or the young lady? Or both of course....

Tough match today - a point would be OK, but 3 would make the long trek back to London a little easier

I wonder if Hall will go straight into the team, or if he will replace Hill during the match?

Not long to wait for the answer.

Que? There are 4 on the Bench who could have replaced Phillips, Nasser, Petrasso, Washington and Luongo. All look better alternatives than Mackie to me, but maybe he's been ripping the pitch up at Harlington this week.

I think it is a clear message that he will be sold.

I am pleased that Hill has not been "dropped". He will probably be replaced during the match.

A good motivational decision by JFH in my opinion.

But the fact JFH chose Mackie, says he thinks that Mackie is first choice replacement for Phillips .

Personally I would have preferred to see Petrasso.

In an away match at Preston.....I may have taken the decision to start with the high energy carthorse Mackie....before brining on a racehorse. Nasser or Petrusso later
