Chesterfield captain Ian Evatt has accused Preston fans of punching, kicking and spitting on him during a pitch invasion. The footballer said rival supporters assaulted him following North End's victory in the League One play-off semi-final at Deepdale. The Lilywhites booked their first trip to Wembley in 21 years by beating Chesterfield 3-0 (4-0 on aggregate) and their fans celebrated by pouring onto the pitch as the final whistle went. Pretty poor state of affairs. Remains to be seen whether any punishment will be handed out. I somehow doubt it !
