Apparently theres a press conference at the Liberty this afternoon Surely going to be news about Allen or Laudrup?
sounds ominous. If it's either i'd go for former over the latter. never know, they could just be announcing their year end accounts. or something completely different
This was tweeted by someone who works in the commercial department of the Swans. So sounds official. Not like random stuff made up by Dai
Apparently it's the annual conference of the National Trouser Press Association being held at The Liberty for the first time this year. Don't panic.
Isnt this standard before a game ? It is Blackpool tomorrow so having a press conference today should be routine id have thought. Cant wait to see how the team shapes up under laudrup, its going to be hard work but at least he has had some time to bed in players and check out svara needed, i suspect he has some difficult decisions to make and some favourite players may move on, a very difficult thing to do Even for a manager thats been here for a while.
You guys are so paranoid that the club can't even hold a press conference without you thinking something serious is happening. Go and see a doctor and get help.
You guys? Arnt you one of us then? There Are normally press conferences before a game, so this looks routine to me
By "you guys" I was referring to the ones that are paranoid, not everyone on this forum, and not you, as you seem to realise that this is a non-event. No I'm not one of the paranoid guys.
Its hardly paranoid - just commenting on office gossip thats all Thats the whole point of the forum board to discuss swans releated issues
The problem with gossiping about gossip is that it gathers undue momentum and people start believing it just because everyone else is jumping on the same gossip bandwagon. This Forum is like Paranoia Central sometimes. Just keep your socks on!!!
Norway, No he's not one of us. A Premier League team holding a press conference isn't big news these days, I'm guessing it would be to talk about tomorrows game.
anyone got the transcript http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/video-laudrups-press-call-295004.aspx
Lads I saw the young man and his heavily pregnant significant other in Swansea at 3.20pm I said to him ,'' Your going then Joe '' and he smiled and tilted his head. Sorry guys but I think it means he's going.
Up on Swans player now. A few points from it:- Joe turned up at training this morning, didn't train as he isn't due back until Wednesday so I assume he just popped along to show his face? Didn't discuss anything about a transfer, but Laudrup did say they will start discussions on Wednesday, and he also said it's important to know what the player wants. Said the friendly against Blackpool is more for him to learn what to expect from English sides. He said he has learned a lot about the players he has been working with in a short time and that he learned a lot on the U.S. tour. Most interestingly, he was discussing how he feels it is very important that he is honest with the players and that is what he will do. That he will discuss where each player is in his plans and that he would help any player move on to another club if that was what they want. Interestingly, he pointed out that if someone was 4th in line for a place in the team, he would wonder why they would want to stay. He hasn't spoken to any of the players about this yet and will be doing so through the week, and he then spoke about Monk and Tate, pointed out that they probably wouldn't be in the starting team every week, but he then pointed out that they are important players to the club for other reasons and that this counts for a lot. Then he laughed about Twitter rumours, and said he hadn't heard any of them. All seemed relaxed and good humoured. Rumours saying that Monk has clashed with Laudrup and that it is Monk who is walking. I stress that this is a RUMOUR and I guess we'll know soon enough what the pc was called for. Pity if it is true because Monk is a loyal Swan and I was looking to him to be the link between ML and the players. The trouble is, if Laudrup doesn't rate Monk as a player, which is highly likely, then he might want him off the scene altogether. I hate this sort of scenario. Is it Laudrup who wants out? Monk? Williams? Just tell us the results of the press call asap, Huw, so we can all get on with things.
