I was trawling through the news now threads and came across the following article http://www.footballfancast.com/2011...-what-to-make-of-the-premier-league-new-boys? Surely with the impending takeover and the new investment we are likley to be the strongest out of the three to survive? I'm also quite suprised at the lack of fellow promoted teams fans inundating our boards with their comical remarks since the news broke on Sky Sports yesterday evening, their silence is deafening. They were happy to rejoice when it looked like we were losing Taraabt. Well the moment of discovery is almost upon us and should it not be good news i'm sure we will be joined by the yellow birds and the white birds, i'm sure you know who I mean Come on you R'ssssssssssssss
I predict that we'll miss fewer goalscoring opportunities this season than the author of the article missed commas in his piece. After only one game it has already become 'conventional wisdom' that QPR are the weakest of the three promoted sides and favourites for relegation. Can I politely suggest we wait until at least late-November/December before getting all despondent? I would say that, other than the 3 promoted sides, there is the potential for a tough season for the likes of Everton, Wigan, Sunderland, Blackburn and West Brom, particularly if there are injuries. There's nothing particularly clever in predicting this, any more than saying Manchester United will finish in the top 2. All we have to do is be better than 3 of them!
Swansea should've lost 12-0 and looked hopeless in attack. Norwich scraped a 1-1 draw with Wigan who will almost definately be in the bottom 6 this season. Providing we get 2 or 3 decent players in before the window shuts, we will be fine (imo).
