Out of a morbid fascination I want to see what happens to QPR if they do get relegated the football league has threatened not to admit them over the FFP breach.
If then Fer came up for sale. Would we want him back. Not particularly fussed now. Whilst we haven't seen much of him I'm hoping Odjidja steps up. Have to say our midfield is the one part of our set up that I think will be able hold its own next season if we do make it up. Sorry heading off topic.
Colk, YesI quite like Dyche too. I would hardly describe him as well spoken though. Sort of mid way between Stephen Hawking and a Dalek. Let's not get too cocky over our London pals,I must admit it looks promising but a couple of wins could change it all round. Having said that I don't expect to see QPR win more than another couple of games.
I should say he get's his point across in a clear and concise manner. You're right he isn't well spoken. He's got the graveliest voice going!
I was pretty gutted when he left but having been happy to take the 'arry shilling, I would not want him back now. It would be like handing back used goods and to me touches on disloyalty. When Chelski wee sniffing around JR, he made it clear that he did not want to go as he loved it at CR. That is the sort of commitment I want to hear and see. Russell Martin is the same and I think Bradders is not far behind.
You really can't hold it against players for wanting to stay in the top league. Its not being disloyal, its just common sense. Would you take a large pay cut to stay loyal to your company or take a pay increase to go elsewhere and challenge yourself at the top. Footballers have a limited time to earn money, I dare say there will be some playing Premier League football now who will end up pennyless by the time they are 50.
I'm with Carrabuh. I can understand Ruddy turning it down because he'd be on the bench rather than actually playing. The only other factor might be family and where you're settled. Otherwise footballers should make the most of their brief careers and play at the highest level they can
I appreciate the point you are making but of course football clubs have fans whose loyalty is without question whereas companies do not have that affinity and this is where the distinction comes. That said taking your analogy, if a Director was to leave say Tesco for another supermarket giant then I doubt if Tesco would be looking to hire him back in the future. Both the Director and the footballer would be looking to maximise their incomes however on the same basis.
I didn't mind Fer leaving, it's that QPR we're the team he went to. I also think players earn more plaudits for getting a team promoted than for jumping straight into the Prem. It also gives them far more experience and a winning mentality! Old news now though and he very well may be staring down the barrel of his second relegation in 2 years in the English leagues!
