Rickie needs to play more regularly to keep his eye in...occasional cameos for Liverpool are ruining the last couple of years of his career. There are better clubs for him, though I don't suppose he's have left us for them.

that happened when Houllier was invited to be joint manager. We've had plenty of time to get over it since then :)

" Adam Lallana, on the bench today, he must be thinking: 'Why did I come here?'"

How do they expect Rickie to maintain any match fitness or make an impact if they don't give him at least 30+ mins occasionally? ALWAYS sticking him on with 9-10 mins left is just futile.

May get more game time with England during the break than with 'pool so far this season.

Charlie Austin scores two goals in seconds...both disallowed. Both rightly, as it turns out, though the second in utterly bizarre circumstances.

Good call from the ref's assistant there, Hart touched the ball twice, but he's a lucky, lucky boy. QPR looking well up for this.

Charlie Austin with a 20 minute hat-trick...and finally one counts (though he might've been offside again).

Right....get down on your rugs facing Canterbury and pray (or Jerusalem or Mecca if that is your persuasion). Some Gods are definitely favouring us at the moment.

Cant believe i'm saying this but i hope QPR do this. Man City are really struggling at the moment and 'arry and his lot might compund their misery ahead of their visit to us.

But that wasn't why it was retaken. It was because the ball did not leave the penalty area so he's not that lucky.

Wasn't a punch, and all pundits agreed that no punishment was correct. Including macca who's a Liverpool fan.

It wasn't a goal kick, so it was because he touched it twice ref.

    Wrong. From FIFA:

"If, when a free kick is taken by the defending team from inside its own penalty area, the ball is not kicked directly out of the penalty area:
    • the kick is retaken."

Don't argue with a referee when it comes to the laws of the game. :D
