please log in to view this image ...No! I said salary cap! Today premier league shareholders meet to discuss a wage cap. Workable?...doubt it. If it is brought in here, you'd think the top players might clear off abroad, but not necessarily, taxation in Europe is going through the roof. The fantastic figures offered by PSG for example have to suffer 75% tax. Our clubs ironically are in favour, Fulham most notably not, no idea why?! the person SSN used this morning representing a group of people thoroughly against the proposals was....an agent! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20319573
If they bring the break even rule in they won't need the the cap, that will be enough to stop the rot. please log in to view this image

So the proposed salary cap would just protect those with the highest revenues at the moment, then? Sounds ****. Why not just make a pretty high squad salary cap that everyone has to abide by? £120m, say. Would that make things a little too sporting?
I'd prefer to leave it to the clubs with the proviso that they MUST break even at worst. That should be sufficient to limit wages and ups the anti on negotiations within the club. Caps have a habit of becoming the norm so that all players start demanding to be up there.
